every time i log in to tumblr dot com and get one of these asks im so confused like are we new here

Idk if i’m the only one but constantly putting my phone under my leg so I can feel it vibrate has led to me impulsively putting everything there...I get up and i’m sitting on pens, lighters, my cat etc. It’s like a Deaf Nest —

7. What’s your favorite part about being d/Deaf or HoH?  

I love signing in ASL!! Not to say that ASL is inherently something that goes with being d/Deaf or HoH, but I really really love being able to communicate with people through ASL! It’s such an amazing way to communicate I think, across distances or underwater or in very loud places. (Especially like, slang signs, or signs specific to me and my mom that maybe aren’t universally accepted, little ones we come up with :) ) 

I also love the quiet of it, when I’m trying to really concentrate it’s so easy to tune out the world -- and that comes so in handy when midterms/finals kick in because I work in very crowded areas lmao
