hmmmm thinking about how dean’s outward affection towards the impala (and other cars) was a safe way for him to verbalize his emotions in a more feminine sort of way.... but towards such a masculine object that no one could call him on it. dean who calls sam a bitch when he’s feeling warmest, and who only allows himself to cry when recounting years of torture in hell. dean who oggles waitresses in public..... but is gentle and soft and sweet around his car.... we talk a lot about dean performing masculinity and a dude liking cars is ostensibly in line with this but the way he’s seen engaging with her is distinctly different

after pushing away the tray containing the shot glasses , he immediately catches the female by her elbow , helping her stay up . " that's enough for tonight . you'll hate the hangover tomorrow , " he points out , having witnessed and been puked on before by the femme . she clearly didn't know her limits or chose to push past them . " let's get you home . "

Dean saw them from across the room, admiring their appearance before calling them over. It had been a long time since Dean had been interested is anybody, but he liked what he saw, and he wanted to talk to them, show off his charm. He gave a small smirk, hoping they would walk over to him.
