with the search for stella back on high alert, the grady’s sudden disappearance is almost completely unnoticed. a moving truck, taking their furniture out, the cars packed full and dean and marie barely even given a chance to say goodbye to their home for the past eight years.
no one’s sure why they’re leaving the former daniels’ home, but whispers are starting to make their rounds. after nearly failing in california, the daniels’ and their daughter are coming back home, kicking the tenets who’ve rented their home for almost a decade out to take over their former house.
no one knows for sure, but with the focus of the town on stella ascott and her current disappearance, it’s the perfect time for everyone else to make bold moves. no one’s paying enough attention to anyone else to bother upsetting the status quo, which means everyone is.
we’re only a month into summer, and already things have become crazier than they’ve ever been before.
for players
this helps usher in the new character avery daniels while ushering out dean grady.
under the cut are some of the important plots developed between current players and former players who’ve since left, meant to be a helpful jumping point for new players taking over characters.
CHARLIE NORTH.
Brinley Roberts and Charlie North have been ‘friends with benefits’ for almost two years, since they lost their virginity together freshman year of high school. Though they sleep together frequently, they insist it’s nothing more than casual and keep their relationship going, even while sleeping with other people as well.
Claudia Marshall and Charlie North recently played detective together, putting together enough clues to discover Phoenix Addams and Stella Ascott have disappeared together for a weekend while everyone else has found out about the murder down in Missouri. Together, they keep the secret from parents, cops and even their other friends.
Braxton Roberts and Charlie North recently shared a kiss on a night out on the town with the rest of their friends, and while they haven’t discussed it in depth, both are potentially interested in pursuing it further beyond ‘just a kiss’.
Charlie North’s bio is HERE, but a few updates from the previous characterization to keep in mind:
Charlie’s had a difficult family life; a former hockey star, he broke his arm at 13 when his father pushed him too hard on the rink. Though no one acknowledges it, everyone suspects that Mr. North isn’t always the nice guy he appears at block parties, especially when his son messes up.
Charlie and Dean Grady have spent years with ‘unrequited’ crushes on one another, though nothing ever really happened. Recently, at a block party, the two got into an altercation that resulted in Charlie’s other arm being broken by Dean, causing the latter to disappear to his home for days prior to his family leaving Ashbourne for good.
PHOENIX ADDAMS.
Brinley Roberts and Phoenix Addams recently went on a double date with two former Ashbourne High graduates. At the end of the night, the two ended up gossiping and sleeping over at the Addams’ home, resulting in a night of making out and laughing.
Phoenix Addams’ bio is HERE, but an update from the previous characterization to keep in mind:
Phoenix and Stella’s friendship has often blurred the lines of ‘just friends’ and while nothing ever occurred between the two of them, Phoenix loved her more than anyone else. Most of their friends lived in ignorance, and since Stella’s disappearance, Phoenix has been even more reclusive than ever, unsure of her own ground without Stella on her side.

WRITING SAMPLE
Dean couldn’t help but feel like he deserved every bump and bruise he received on the field for being (briefly, but) marginally relieved at Stella Ascott’s disappearance.
She was a time bomb of his secrets.
The cold water that ran over the swollen lump on his wrist did little to soothe the scalding burn of guilt as he hovered over the sink, unable to look at his own reflection in the mirror, much less at anybody else while he submerged himself in self-pity. It was a minor injury, a small contusion in comparison to the wounds everyone else wore openly on their sleeves. He had been blessed, after all, with a loving family who were all accounted for, a healthy body and a full-ride athletic scholarship out of Ashbourne whenever he was ready. He should’ve been grateful but Dean couldn’t even spell ‘ambition’, much less pursue it with aplomb as his friends did.
Dean glanced at Charlie out of the corner of his eye, catching a glimpse of sweaty, sun-kissed skin and mussed ginger hair. Charlie was going off about last Friday night at the post-game rager and boasting to the locker room that he had hooked up with two girls that night - when Dean knew that he had pre-gamed too hard and wound up being shepherded by himself and Brinley into his parents’ basement for a calm night of Gatorade and re-runs of Futurama.
His guts coiled uncomfortably in his stomach in a mixture of exasperation and something dark and insidious that coagulated in the dimples on Charlie’s back. The last time he had witnessed this routine, Stella had burst in the way Stella did and caught him red-handed in more ways than one.
She had an intuition about her that none of them really did and she read him like the morning paper the moment the grip on his resolve slackened. Dean’s eyes had betrayed him and wandered into the forbidden valley of greasy chests and other protrusions between his best friends, lingering too long on crevices that didn’t need any more attention than they had intrinsically drawn. What was worse than her speculative gaze on his sexuality was the fact that she had seen the emblazoned New York logo on the envelope that he had tried to stuff into his gym bag. The last thing Dean wanted anyone to know was that he, Mr. I’m-Living-With-My-Mothers-Until-I’m-Forty, was given a golden ticket out of their podunk little town.
(A lie. The last thing he ever wanted was for anyone to think he had any desire to rescue himself from anything when there were so many others who needed it more.)
(Like Charlie.)
(Like Stella.)
There was a sting, at that. Dean wasn’t sure whether it came from thoughts of her or a too-quick turn of his wrist. Blaming the wrist was simpler, and Dean had always sought out simple.
There was a flash of blonde in his peripheral vision but it disappeared in a blink. A harrowing trend in recent days.
Dean bit down on his lip, and turned his wrist over again.
ANYTHING ELSE
Is it possible to have him in another sports teams/athletic club instead of drama? I wouldn’t be opposed to any of the other teams at Ashbourne High. Thanks.
