Best Line 12x18 Pete's line about the family business was too cringeworthy for me. And Ketch's bit about Sam's hair and Dean's flannels was alright I guess, but the coffee line by Sam stood out to me more than any other. Here's why. Just like we saw in 12x10, Sam knows Dean all too well. Sure, he always has, but in these instances he knew exactly what Dean was going to do and when he was going to do it, and called him out on it. For Sam, a line like this is cringeworthy and so it is Sam's response and not Dean's pick up line that I like here And, Cas. Just like in 12x10, this move on Dean's part is about Cas. He chased after Cas in 12x10, and here he tries to avoid thinking about Cas by hooking up with this woman. And Sam sees right through him. Sam ships it hard, and each time Dean gets with someone else, Sam cries a little on the inside. He hates seeing this shit work because it just keeps Dean from admitting to himself that he loves Cas. And he does love Cas (ever notice how it's never Sam who calls the angel?).
