“good grief,” benny says one day, and dean’s first reaction is to laugh. “what,” benny says, and he even stops chewing on his toothpick. his expression is so full of genuine confusion that dean just wants to lean into him, the precious boy. “‘good grief’?” dean snorts, “who says that?” benny, to his credit, doesn’t look insulted. instead, he smirks and puts the pick back between his teeth. “you got a problem with it, chief?” and when he wraps an arm around dean’s waist, dean can’t say he does.

1) Hi Loveheart! Hope you like your First! The first time that Benny cooked for Dean was on a lazy, rainy afternoon in Dean’s small apartment. Benny griped the entire time when he realized Dean had little to nothing to actually cook with and that “Mrs. Dash” was the most sophisticated spice in his cabinet.

Benny had given Dean a long, pained look, and muttered, “I swear, Chere… There ain’t no helpin’ you in this kitchen,” and stomped off in his boots to go to the store and buy what he needed. The beignets were light and fluffy. Almost too hot from the fryer, Dean hissed when he reached for one and yelped when Benny came out of nowhere with a spatula to smack his hand away from them.“Now, Brother, you should know better than to grab a man’s cookin’ when he ain’t yet put it in front of you.”

The vampire’s eyes were twinkling though, and a moment later they were presented to Dean with a mound of powdered sugar and a drizzle of honey on top. As Dean stared into Benny’s eyes and took the first moan-inducing bite, he was pretty sure he’d do anything to have the man cook for him again.

I know I sent that 15 whole minutes early (I’m on EST) but I couldn’t wait to send it to you!!! I hope you enjoyed my little headcannon about the first time Benny cooks for Dean! <3 I hope you have an amazing, fantastic, wonderful and DELICIOUS DeanBenny Love Week, LoveHeart!

today's deanbenny headcanon: road trip au!! ever since sam left for stanford dean has been feeling more and more suffocated in a house that now feels empty. john drinks all the time but its dean who's drowning. i don't know how to deal with it, he tells benny; i'm afraid someday he's gonna beat me up till i run away and i won't have anywhere to go. you can come to me, benny replies. you live in an orphanage, benny, dean says. exactly, no one will refuse you there, benny says, smiling. (2/2) dean buries himself in benny’s arms, sure of his safety for a while. just hold out till we graduate, he hears benny whisper, then i’ll take you. where? dean asks, and benny replies- everywhere.

dean gets jump-scared in their home every week when benny randomly belts lines from britney spears or shakira songs

dean is actually ashamed that benny likes pop music but he can't help but smile and shake it with benny when he starts dancing. its the most adorable ritual: every sunday while making breakfast in just his boxers (sometimes less), at 10am sharp he would switch the radio to a pop channel and turn it loud, moving in circles as he prepped the batter for the pancakes, the entire kitchen his stage. by 10:15 dean would be settled on the countertop, his coffee swirling in clouds of warmth (1)

around his messy morning hair. by 10:30 am dean’s coffee and his grumpy halfhearted protests would be finished and breakfast would’ve been served, along with a wink and sideways smirk, finished with a side of an off tune shake of the hips, which would earn him dean’s first smile of the day. then benny would pull dean into an of sorts salsa session with benny jamming along to cringey pop music and dean pretending to roll his eyes and humour him. sometime in the next half hour (2)

a taylor swift song would come on and benny would witness the gradual crescendo of dean bobbing his head to screaming the lyrics at the top of his lungs somehow making off tune dancing look good. at the end of the song dean would look at benny, breathless, and benny would smile back, pulling dean in for a kiss and rosy and lazily warm as the sunlight illuminating them (3/3)
