I’m not a good fit, Dean. Not with vampires and, for sure, not with the humans. I don’t belong. And after a while… that starts to wear on you. Right? Cry me a river. Like you need to listen to this.

ok but i just realized what if dean was the reason benny found out he loved baking? like, they were best friends as teenagers and dean of course didn't think he deserved nice things so benny took matters in his own hands, starting from that time he baked a pie for dean on Mary's death anniversary and the ritual turned into benny baking more diverse stuff to benny opening a bakery in his 20s...just a few years after dean went to stanford because sam was getting married. and never came back. (1)

fast forward a few years, benny still bakes because he’s still hung up on dean and still looks for him on the facebook charlie forced him to make and still looks after bobby’s and john’s drunk asses and is still the eye candy of the town and is still single… till he hears news that the brothers are coming home because john died of liver failure, till dean walks into his bakery and benny finds the missing puzzle piece, till dean reaches out for his hand during the cremation, (2)

till dean has been working in the bakery for a week now…a week turns into a month, turns into dean left his job of a mechanic, turns into sam went back home months ago, turns into they’re roommates now (oh my god they were roommates), turns into handholding, turns into dean comforting benny when the christmas orders became too much, turns into dean asking benny out on christmas eve, turns into the best new year’s eve ever, turns into love. oh HELL YES

he would have the BEST bakery in the whole state, people from all over would come to try his pies and pastries but he’d keep the company small and cozy?? there’s no way he’d turn the place in some sterile factory-like business, it would be cozy with a rustic theme maybe, a few tables to sit and eat but mostly takeaway

he’d manage to whip up a new recipe every day, his menu is constantly changing. he’s just so damn good at baking and he loves to do it so much, he spends nearly all his free time in the kitchen with flour on his apron and his hair, a bit of frosting on his nose

real talk what do you imagine dean and benny's wedding to be like

dean and benny’s wedding would be a small gathering, only close friends and family, very down-to-earth

it would be intimate but casual, both dressed up in suits (albeit benny’s one a bit dated, and he’s still wearing that hat) but they’d have simple vows

it would be beer bottles and glasses of whiskey at the afterparty in ellen and bobby’s bar, classic rock playing from the speakers while they dance lazily, hands never leaving each other

it would be a simple send-off on the dock, only sam and bobby present, benny manning their small boat as dean sits in the back and stares at his husband (his husband!!!!) with a small but insanely happy smile

it would be the salty air of the sea and the biting cold of the wind as they sail off to their honeymoon. it would be lazy kisses and fleeting touches shared until they reach their destination and they have the time and space to be more intimate

but most of all, it would be happiness and relief on dean’s part, to know that he’s finally found someone that he knows will treat him well, that will never let him down or hurt him
