Dean/Cas Switch Bang Sign-Ups!
It's that time! Sign-ups for the 2025 round of the Dean/Cas Switch Bang are now open. Sign-ups will stay open until March 8th for Authors, and until April 13th for Artists!
As a reminder, the Switch Bang is in regards to Dean and Cas switching roles: they both must be the top and bottom at some in the story written for this bang. They must also be the endgame pairing. So they can be with other people in the fic, but they must be together in the end. Otherwise, the story is yours to command. Canonverse, Endverse, AU? The choice is yours.

I’m so happy to share this artwork, completed for the @deancasswitchbang and @lulu1102′s delightful story “We Get What We Deserve.”

I had a lot of fun working on these art pieces. I was excited to illustrate my first ever heaven fic, and without spoiling things these pieces gave me a chance to look at three different aspects of it: Dean’s heaven, Cas’s heaven (yes, the rainbow light for Cas’s office is quite intentional), and finally the space they share together.
The third piece above was perhaps the most ambitious piece of SPN art I’ve attempted to date. I honestly spent weeks on the planning, sketching, and painting of it, because I really wanted to give that moment the attention and care it deserved. Thank you to the mods of the DCSB and my wonderful author who was so lovely to work with on this project!
For this round of @deancasswitchbang I claimed the story by the lovely @squirrelofcelestialintent I really enjoyed working with her, the story is feels and feels and that’s totally my jam. I also really enjoyed working with traditional mediums, and drawing hands.
You should totally go read the story on AO3. It is so lovely!
I planned on making a third piece, but life got in the way. Hopefully, soon, everything lets up a little and I’ll be able to finish it and share it then!

Dean finds a case that may or may not be a sophisticated monster. He needs a hunt, a distraction like he needs to breathe and he grasps at straws.
On their way out the door, Sam and Dean run into a Castiel, newly resurrected from the Empty.
Dean must deal with his feelings and a case he never anticipated.
Maybe a cannibalistic serial killer and his jealous husband is just what Dean needs to realize what’s right in front of him.
Plus, dude can cook.
I really love the moodiness and cinematography on NBC's Hannibal and wanted to bring Dean, Cas, and Sam into that world. I had a lot of fun with these pieces and crack myself up at the dinner scene. I wanted to see what the expression of each member of team free will would be if served by Hannibal. They you so much to my partner. You can check out the story here.
