Snow Days

The day started as any other cold morning, with a thick blanket of snow covering the roads and cars. Castiel leaned against the window, coffee mug in hand as his eyes followed random snowflakes that would wander close to his living room window only to melt away as they touched the glass.
The peaceful scene is interrupted by a sudden blur and the loud crunch of snow as something fell. He blinked in surprise, glancing around in disbelief of what he’d just seen. Finally peeking through, he scrambled off to grab a coat and his shoes before dashing out the door. The ladder catches his eyes first and then the man that had apparently fell from it. He immediately recognized him as his upstairs neighbor, but his name escaped his mind. “Are you alright?”, he asked, offering a hand to help the man up. His lips quirked, but otherwise he tried not to show how amused this was to him.

John’s quite partial to gummy bears. He keeps a bag in the truck and eats them on long drives.

He was tired, very much so, but he needed a distraction and so he kept going, pausing long enough to stretch his back and rub at his stomach absentmindedly.
