"Be kinder to yourself."

i want to tell her how my heart flutters anytime i see her with her hair down but i’m such a coward…
beautiful girls are so scary
I love how the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland mirrors Aphrodite.
Both can be seen as Queen of Hearts
Aphrodite because she is love. The essence of it. She has captured the hearts of them all and loves them back just as much. The people call make her the queen of their hearts.
The Queen of Hearts rules her peoples heart just as much, just instead out of love out of fear. They are all afraid of her , including he husband. She calls herself the Queen of hearts.
One metaphor for that is the head:
Aphrodite is thus known for turning heads left an right, making people fall in love with her.
The Queen of hearts on the other hand is known for ordering "Off with her head", at any possible inconvenience, that presents herself ( tho her husband doesn't actually let that happen.)
This leads to another point:
Both of them have the symbol of white Rose's turned red.
Everyone knows: the Queen likes red Rose's better than white but since her gardeners had planted white ones instead, she follows Alice advice on just painting them red. The red symbolises the blood of her enemies. The blood you gain from the chopped off heads. Its blood born of hate.
A lesser known story tho is: Aphrodites son Adonis was killed. There are different speculations as to why and who did it but that always the ending. It is sad, that Aphrodite, while running towards his lifeless body, cuts herself on a thorn of a white rose. While she weeps over Adonis, the white roses turn red in her grief. It's blood born of love.
Also both have birds as symbols
Aphrodite has doves, which usually are a symbol of divinity and purity
The Queen fo Hearts has flamingos, which are a symbol of standing out and the inner fire
Forgive me, Aphrodite, for I have been anything but kind to myself...
I'm wondering what Aphrodite has in store for me...
Aphrodite, give me the strength to see my worth... 🌠
Dear Aphrodite,
I know I haven't been active enough in my practice. I have forgotten to pray and give offerings. I don't talk to you enough and I haven't cast a spell in a couple weeks. I am sorry... But I want you to know I see your blessings all around me. Thank you for everything you've done for me and thank you for everything you have given me.
I may not be a perfect witch by any means, but I know you love me just the same. So thank you.
All I want is to sit next to the love of my life, my head on their shoulder saying nothing, speaking whole conversations in the silence, just enjoying their company. Is that too much to ask?
