If people think you're that Jasmine it's what you deserve. People like saying how Gab's casual "racism" (lol) makes it more acceptable for other people to be "racist" but you're doing the same thing with hate against Sean. You act all nice but you still helped bully him off this platform. He was doing fine before the tea blogs came and then you all stirred everything up and made problems out of nothing.
Hello dear! A couple things I’d like to clarify.
Due to your wording I am led to believe you don’t support the idea that what Gab said was racist. Would you say that’s correct? If so, I’d like to remind you of her words, “Japanese people f*ck everything up.” This is a derogatory statement about an ethnic minority (that is untrue!) said from a place of privilege. I’m unsure how I can make that any clearer.
When you say I am doing that same thing with hate against Sean, are you meaning to say that my casual “hatred” makes it more acceptable for other people to be “hateful”? I am curious as to when I have been hateful, and when I have bullied him. This is what worries me; my critiques and concerns are seen as hate. I would love to know if there’s a way I can better organize my thoughts in a way that would not be hurtful.
Finally, I’m surprised I have to continue to reiterate this, but if 18 people are enough to drive someone off a platform, I would submit that the problem is not with the 18 people. There are so many people on Tumblr that love and support Sean. All he has to do is block us (and he has!). The fact that 18 people tagging their posts with discourse tags (which lets anyone blacklist that tag) were somehow strong enough to push someone like Sean off of a whole social media outlet is a little confusing to me.
He was definitely doing fine before this. But there are many people who felt uncomfortable in the community and are glad to know they’re not alone.
I hesitate to answer asks like these because I’m aware that there’s a low chance you will read this, and an even lower chance you’d be willing to discuss stuff like this. Nevertheless, in hopes of bridging the gap, I’ll respond anyways.
Much love to you, dear - I hope you’re having a wonderful day!
