Dear America, Stop pretending that racism, stereotyping, and injustices in this country aren’t real, in present day. We are only one generation removed from the Jim Crow Era and parents today have lived through the civil rights movement, I Am a Man, redlining, unfair banking, among a slew of other racially motivated-government supported things. Just because the country’s historically majority population don’t experience the results of your atrocities on non-white people, doesn’t mean they don’t occur.
