look, I love queer baiting as much as the next gal but sometimes the baiting of it all is so intense it just makes the writing bad. Like there is a heterosexual explanation for this, but its a really bad explanation.

pjo (tv) tag diary
why do I write so many "multimedia" fics when formatting them is HELL. do I hate myself??
Ask tag, you're it! :D What's your favorite part of the writing process? Or what's one thing you really like about writing?
ask tag is my new favorite game!!!!
unpopular opinion: I really like the middle?? Like when you’re in the middle of a first or second draft and suddenly you hit a flow, and you get the characters and you know where the plot is going so you can just write? I was tempted to say that my favorite part is the pre-drafting and planning part, because I truly love daydreaming and visualizing scenes and hammering out weird logistical quirks. But when I go to transfer those bits to paper, it always becomes a bit of a drudgery because they’re already! In my head! They’ve happened! I just have to get it out. But the middle, oh, it’s like a runners high. I don’t know what’s going to happen, it just spills out right as I figure it out. I can let the characters surprise me. I can let myself surprise me. Often, this is the point in a draft where some motif or extended metaphor or theme I’ve been subconsciously writing around becomes intentional. So yeah, tl;dr, considering I just accidentally wrote a love letter to middles I think that’s probably my favorite part of the writing process, lol.
all my roommates: *leave bc it’s Friday night and they have social lives*
Me: “yessss time to play TAD at max volume while doing all my chores and perhaps making soup!!!!!!”
What was your first experience with internet fandom and subculture?
well, I made my blog in 2013, so I'll give you three guesses and you'll be right on all three, lol.
that being said, there was really never any hope for me. I genuinely don't remember a time when I wasn't consuming media that is now considered 'cult classic' or one of the og fandoms now. I grew up watching TNG, the first movie I 'saw' in theaters was LOTR, and I was so young when I first watched DW that I got spooked and swore off it for a few years. If you had asked my middle school self what my favorite show was, there's a good chance I would have said Buffy. (which, honestly? valid.)
but, of course, the, ahem, "big three" were my first real experience with internet fandom. While I don't know that it was the best introduction to fandom I could have had, I distinctly remember my first fannish interaction, and the joy of realizing that, oh, there were other people who liked these things, too! Other people who wanted to be just a little too enthusiastic, and would put up with me when I was as well (neurodivergent people). So really, even with all the weirdness of getting into fandom during that very distinct era, I can't regret it, and I'm certainly glad it led to me still being here in fandom spaces now :)
lol I just got the repost feature on tiktok. im about to become an absolute menace. 2022 truly is the year of the 2012 revival.
my witcher fic rec list is getting very close to done. it is longer than some actual fics I have written and may more aptly be called a library than a list. i may have gone a bit overboard but look. i am just very enthusiastic about witcher fic.
