how can i not be obsessed?

i came across a video saying that the reason why we end up being so heartbroken about our little crush is because we tend to be obsessed with them, to the point that we're overanalyzing everything. and if we see something that doesn't seem right, we'll doubt our self-worth over it. i couldn't agree more. this is what really happens when i caught affection for someone.
but i couldn't blame myself either, i mean how can i not be obsessed with her?
