ok but can we talk about the reva and maul parallels in the finale?
both of them come to tatooine. both realise who luke is. but only reva has the strength to let go of her need for revenge, and only reva is able to move forward.
and i love that they did this because it adds further to a theme that i think is pivotal to star wars, but especially obi wan, and it’s the choice to be good.
reva and maul both go to the desert seeking revenge but reva chooses to let go, chooses to be good and finds freedom instead. maul’s greatest tragedy was always his belief that he had to continue with his sisyphean task, taking the option of choice away from him.
