And I’m just supposed to be normal about this

I can't explain the terror this gif makes me experience. Like I like this movie, the Onceler is my favorite character even, but it feels overwhelmingly like a horror videogame death screen. Like a Poppy Playtime or a Bendi and the Ink machine-style death screen. This catches me off guard for a typically bright art-style movie that is without any of the real deep meaning behind the original Lorax. Something about it makes me feel like I should be holding a controller and I messed up the gameplay somehow.

This is the moment I feel is most important to Aeris, after death is when she really becomes strong. If you've read the books Square Enix put out On the Way to a Smile, Aerith helps more after death, Aerith isn't human so she doesn't die like others, she walks among the dead like a Celestial. The other moment I thought was important for her is when she helped her mother escape Hojo from Shinra...

No Blood? Aeris was stabbed with a Masamune which is the good twin of the evil muramasa blade. Masamunes grant the death of a foe by absorbing the blood so none is expelled giving a beautiful death, however its twin Muramasa expels all their foes blood giving a horrific death. Learn to lore of ALL Japanese swords. lol, this is why no blood was expelled during Aeriths death. *wonk*
