Curious flick. This was a German-Sri-Lankan production co-produced by the German public tv broadcaster BR. This basically means that every German household contributed to financing the movie through their lawfully bound broadcasting fees. Insane.

The illustrious cast features the power duo Brad Harris and Tony Kendall in opposing roles, sweetheart Heather Thomas who was very famous in Germany at that time through her bikini clad role in The Fall Guy, Austrian Albert Fortell and Schlager musician Christian Anders who got romantically involved with Heather Thomas - that lucky bastard - and later became a tinfoil hat wearing nutjob. With Siegfried Rauch and Elke Sommer they threw in a few popular German actors as well.

Shot on location in Sri Lanka and directed by Franz Josef Gottlieb who’s known for some of the famous Edgar Wallace movies of the German crime film wave in the 1960s.
