𝐈𝐈𝐈. — are there any clothing items and / or fabrics your muse does not like? and why is that so?
he doesn’t tend to like bright colours, especially pastels. there’s no particular reason for it, i suppose, except for an instinct to keep to traditional fashions. he just prefers muted or darker colours. he likes dark reds, greens, and blues — you’ll never catch him in orange or yellow.
𝐕. — what kind of books are most likely found in your muse’s apartment? what genre? how often has your muse read those books? and how are they sorted / stored?
he has a fairly impressive library in his home. he favours non-fiction books, particularly ones pertaining to medicine, law, or religion; he doesn’t have many works of fiction in his library, although there are a few authors whose works he has a fondness for. he’s partial to james hogg. he tends to read a fair amount, but he hasn’t read everything in his library — some books were gifts he just doesn’t have much interest in, some books just looked interesting in the shop window, etc.
𝐈𝐗. — does your muse’s apartment look like they live alone? does it appear empty? is it filled with pictures? could a visitor guess your muse’s relationship status by looking at the apartment’s interior?
his home is immaculate, though that’s more to do with the fact that he has servants to attend to it. he himself is neither fastidious nor slovenly, really — he tends to pick up after himself relatively well, but any further organisation or cleaning, he leaves in the hands of the maid.

were any of them? they all had a past that defined them, changed the past into the present and created the person they were now. zatanna looks back at the person she had been years ago, with her rebellious streak and the passion for magic that lead her to both of her loves. she’s a much better person that she was then, and in a much better place, but there’s a part of her that breaks for the younger her. she can only imagine how john feels.
she swallows a breath and her gaze flickers up to meet his, electric blue meeting blue. ‘ sometimes change is needed. ’ she swallows a breath, her gaze wavering for a moment. john may have always been john constantine. younger, but always the troublemaker, failing the people closet to him, leaving a path of fire. it didn’t just happen overnight. but despite all that, despite the hell he’s brought her -- she’s always believed in him. believed in a version of him that could be good. zatanna’s not an idiot, she knows who he is ... but she always knows who he could be. even when when a part of her hated him with all her heart.
