I finally got my hands on this 1966 Silvertone 1482 yesterday! These amps were made throughout the 1960's by Danelectro in Neptune, New Jersey and are commonly referred to as the 'poor man's Tweed Deluxe.' This amp sounds nice and gritty when cranked, and it sounds very deep and full when set clean too. Interestingly enough, the stock Fisher speaker was swapped with a 1965 Utah speaker at some point. I also finally got to experience the joy of the so-called "death capacitor" firsthand when I touched the metal end on one of my patch cables and my body became the path to ground. Removing that capacitor and adding a 3 prong cable solved that though. #Silvertone #Silvertone1482 #VintageAmps #Danelectro #UtahSpeaker #DeathCapacitor #1966 #VintageGuitar #Fender #FenderJazzmaster #Jazzmaster #Underoath #Studio331
