[fraud spoilers] [source: Ultrakill progress vid 94 - Hakita] [mashing ideas together like dolls] Since the style bonus for destroying a Deathcatcher is [+ICONOCLASM] just like when destroying an Idol, and Hell previously crafted Mannequins after taking inspiration from the Gutterman, maybe Deathcatchers are Hell's attempts at mimicking Ferrymen who created the Idols?

Nothing's confirmed until Fraud releases sooooooo this is just speculation but I find the idea of Hell developing the ability to create by learning from humans/human souls instead of learning from God, the literal cosmic creator in this universe, who also was the one who created Hell itself and the humans, to be lowkey funny. The Torment Nexus learning arts and crafts from the things It was made to torment. [adds theory to the info wall in my head that just says "GOD = CREATION, HELL = TRANSFORMATION, HELL ATE GOD ?? "]
