just married (except not really)
Getting the rings at the fair about a month ago had been quite an impulsive move on his part, but still, something told Hakuryuu he'd find a good use for them soon, somehow.
And he did.
Valentine's day was rather unfamiliar to him considering he never had someone to spend it with, yet today he did truly feel like doing something special, something that would surprise Tsurugi.
The teen thought one of the small gardens scattered around the city would be a nice place to stand around for a while with the other, and honestly, after taking a quick look at it, it was the perfect setting for a moment like this. It had been a good idea to convince him to meet up there after all.
One of his hands was held to his mouth while the other grasped a small bouquet firmly. "Happy Valentine's Day, Tsurugi." A pause. "Too serious... Happy Valentine's Day, Tsurugi!" He frowned. No, he didn't want to sound too eager either. Without being particularly aware of his surroundings, he kept muttering to himself, hoping to find the exact way he wanted his greeting to sound like.
He hadn't expected the apartment to feel so empty after Taiyou had to leave so abruptly. Hakuryuu had tried to suppress that dumb feeling of loneliness that came and stayed after his friend had been admitted to the hospital, even though he was completely sure he would be just fine on his own. It usually was nice to have some time for himself, but he really needed something -or someone- to get his mind off things.
The teen didn't give it much thought before he flicked his phone out of his pocket, staring at the screen for a few seconds before he started typing.
To: Tsurugi♥ ----------------- Mind moving in with me for a few days?
There, sent. Short and straight to the point is always better.

Christmas was just around the corner, and Tenma was almost surprised that Roble 1 had yet to decorate. Almost - after all, he was living with Tsurugi and Kariya, and neither of them really seemed like the type to take the initiative to decorate, which was partially the reason Tenma had gone out on his own accord and picked up plenty of holiday decorations, as well as a small enough faux fir tree where he could still stash the presents he had bought for his roommates under it without the tree getting in the way of, well, everything else.
The tree had been the first thing he had set up, though the ornaments were yet to be opened - Tenma hoping that decorating the tree was something he could do with both Tsurugi and Kariya. Well, the coloured ornaments were still in their boxes. The white ones, Tenma had put on the table on top of some newspaper with an unopened bottle of black paint and a paintbrush.
He had just been hanging up some of the garland when he heard the lock on the front door click, the door being pushed open. More than likely it was Tsurugi returning home, since Kariya had left after the other. With a peek at the front door from his perch on a chair, the brunet could confirm that it was indeed Tsurugi. "Ah-! Welcome back, Tsurugi!"
Of course he's heard about the commotion in the streets, of course he's heard about the shootings, of course he's heard about the amount of people injured. The logical thing to do would be to stay at home and wait until everything calms down and the security forces do their job but...
He didn't have to think twice to get out of his apartment, his mind set on just one thing. It would be just a moment. He just had to check Tsurugi was alright and then he'd get back home--
The sudden sound of a gunshot nearby startled him, his heart racing in his chest as he tries to locate the source of the noise. Wasn't this supposed to be a somewhat safe area? His mind tells him he should just run like hell away from there, but his body doesn't quite agree. He could feel his hands shaking if only slightly, his legs fighting to move from the spot they've frozen on. It'll be alright, it was probably nothing...
Or so he wished it would have been. At first he thought it was just a hallucination. It isn't him, of course it can't be him. But when he took a few steps further towards a familiar figure, his heart skipped a beat.
Hakuryuu opened his mouth but no sound came out. He had arrived too late, hadn't he? Even if his mind was a terrible mess at the moment, he managed to get his legs to sprint towards the other teen, promptly crouching beside him, placing a hand on his back and the other on his cheek. "Tsurugi! Are y--" He was obviously not alright, he could tell as much just after seeing the blood dripping from his arm.
