Lost Again (Closed)

A familiar warm metallic flavor wouldn’t leave the young mans tongue. His lower lip was a bit swollen and the side of his face was still red from where he had been hit. His superiors weren’t stupid though, they knew they couldn’t do too much damage to the merchandises face. Instead of a black eye or busted nose the prostitute was brandished with dark bruises all over his torso, as well as some on his arms from when he was grabbed. The whore knew it was his own fault though, he deserved the punishment. It was all simply the result of not making enough money, or in his case, allowing customers to dine and dash. It was easy to take advantage of the meek human. The other whores would sooner bash a customers head in with their heal than let them run off with their money, but Kal had a reputation for being a weak pushover...
The human had been wandering aimlessly, not able to stand being around the club right now. It was too noisy, too crowded, too overwhelming. He wanted to get away from it all and be alone for a bit. Being alone, being far from people, seemed to be the only thing that helped him to feel more clear headed. He never understood the reason for it, he didn’t dislike people, but in the end he just figured he must just be introverted or something.
Eventually Kal had found himself in a park, and shortly after that he found himself in some wooded area, an unfamiliar section of forest. Dual colored eyes glanced around at his surroundings, realizing he had been far too lost in his own thoughts and had allowed himself to stray far from any sort of trail.
“...Where do you suppose we are Daisuke...?” Kal questioned and he glanced around at his surroundings.
Daisuke, a red winged black bird, responded with loud caw before flying down from a branch he had been perched upon and landing on the prostitutes shoulder.
“Well...at least there is privacy out here...it’s nice and quiet. I don’t think I can even hear and cars from here.” Kal said as he reached down and took off his red mary janes. Meandering through the woods was easier barefoot than in those damned heels. The young man walked over to a large oak, shoes in hand, and crumpled to the ground. He leaned his body against the trunk, setting the shoes beside himself. His body was sore and the hard ground and rough bark didn’t do much to ease his pain but the calmness and quiet out here was worth it. Not only that but with spring taking over it was no longer freezing all the time.
“Don’t let me stay out here too long, kay?” He told the bird with a soft smile.
Some time passed. Kal had dosed off, body still rested against the tree as he finally awoke due to feeling a little overheated. The prostitute blinked, only a little surprised to find two wolves curled up beside him, one resting its upper body on his lap. Kal smiled softly, reaching out and petting one of the wolves head and mane.
“You know, if it was summer your fur would be killing me.” He told them lightheartedly. Meanwhile Daisuke remained perched upon the boys shoulder, nuzzling his head and playing with his hair with his beak. Kal couldn’t help but smile.
How was it that he always felt the most at home with animals?
