When the clock strikes 12, you're supposed to eat as many grapes as you can, and each one turns into a wish. My wish this year is to not choke to death on grapes.

I believe they do something similar in Spain.

We put up the yolka a little late this year, but here it is. Dad is very particular about how the tree gets decorated. We have so many homemade and gifted ornaments that aren't allowed on.

"So, I've been thinkin' about this for a while now...am I your familiar?" Conrad asked, quickly holding up a hand, "And before you say anything, I think you should really think about it. I'm also not human, I make your life easier, I miiiight be immortal- sources are fuzzy about that one, so it's a 'maybe'- and I am pretty willing to do what you tell me to." Conrad listed, looking up at Dee curiously from his place seated on the floor.

"My familiar?" Dee paused painting their nails and looked down at Conrad thoughtfully. "You're certainly not a thrall, so I suppose if you want to consider yourself a familiar, you can." The idea of having a familiar was rather flattering. That was the sort of thing a powerful vampire lord had, not a college student. And something as powerful as a werewolf practically offering themselves up as a willing servant... Dee grinned, a mischievous twinkle in their eye as they got an idea.

"What made you want to bring this up? Were you hoping that I'd say you were my familiar? My good little servant?" Dee snickered, then added, "Little puppy wants to be a good boy?"

Dee knew that they were either going to get a very flustered Conrad or a very pissed off Conrad after saying that, but either way, his reaction would be priceless.
