Hastur from Cthulhu:Death May Die . Took a bit of a break between the Deep Ones and this guy. Honestly, I wanna call this guy a speed paint because he didn't take much time, but I can't say I'd have done much more beyond some clean-up work if I spent more time... My main goal was to paint specular highlights on the tentacles to try and render a "wet" look. I mean really, if I wanted to make this guy more of a display piece, all I'd have done is smoothed out all the blends... but I guess that's just generally true for anything I paint, lol. Like Borden before her, this mini was an exercise in freehanding detail on clothes and, in this case, cards. I am proud of how easy those eyes were.

My efforts to paint more dark skinned characters lead me straight into Elizabeth here. I enjoyed doing the colors on her dress, and I think I did a decent bit of work on her flesh tones.
