TRIVIA Debmi are humanoid plant-like people (not made of plants) who easily tower over the other peoples of Blutrasla
Debmi hair is petal/leaf-like or vine-like, similar to the various flora of Blutrasla. This is a result of convergent evolution, not divergent evolution.
They have slick skin that vary in shades of yellow, leaning more towards orange yellows than green yellows. Their skin helps them with absorbing violet light. Their skin produces a waxy coating to prevent moisture loss, but if in the heat for too long they will dehydrate. Because of the waxy coating, Debmi do not have too much body hair
Though their skin does help them absorb light as a nutrient source, the majority of their light absorption occurs at a structure located at the base of their neck. This structure looks similar to large floral petals or leaves and protrude outward like a medici collar. Older Debmi have larger collars, some becoming so heavy they drape down and look like capes.
Debmi have a high liquid diet and have the most serious sweet tooth. Good thing they are not prone to diabetes!
Despite preferring a liquid, high-sugar diet, Debmi can and will eat solid foods. Their light absorption works similar to how charging a hybrid car works. It can sustain their basic metabolic needs, but Debmi need to eat to thrive.
Males have an apple body shape and females have a pear body shape
Debmi are also well known for their flexibility and strength.
Debmi names are nature related and often are literal words like Spring, River, Canyon, etc.
Debmi are, culturally, truthful people and see no point or gain in telling lies. As a result, they are terrible liars
Debmi are, generally, non-religious
Debmi are fertile in life phases. A debmi with a womb can only conceive once every 20 years (during wet season, of course) after hitting puberty, and are otherwise infertile. After approximately 800 years old, all debmi are infertile.
