hey babes.

i am going to try to get the third part of stage show out by the end of november (still aiming for this wednesday/thursday). i am also about halfway through writing midnight coffee with the skull city dj, and i want to finish writing MYTH. as much as i want to complete the comfort collection and borealis for this year (i had intended on a krampusnacht story, a how-to-cheat-at-dreidel manual, a christmas story in three acts based on the nutcracker, and a snowed-in-on-contraxia // rocket-loses-his-virginity-to-a-sex-worker story) - but i just don't think that's going to happen this year. i'm sorry. it bums me tf out. (and not that i think anyone is waiting with bated breath for my next drop lol but i do feel kinda bad about not being able to celebrate the holidays with you all the way i'd like to)

the truth is that work has gotten more intense every year, and my mental bandwidth is shot. and i love to write, but not for a deadline. monthly forecasts used to be estimates of when i would have time to post things that were already written and had undergone the first few stages of revision; now i am drafting right up till the last minute and it feels like my quality is suffering. i'm less happy with what i'm posting and i'm having less fun, and i guess i gotta practice what i preach and remind myself that fanfiction is supposed to be about enjoyment and catharsis and connection, not capitalist productivity lol.

so... i'm going to take a step back. no more monthly forecasts for a hot minute. i still plan to share new stories/chapters, but probably only once or twice month for a while. i'll still post previews here so you can see what's coming, and you can always check the "recent updates" on the second half of the nav post to see what you might've missed.

maybe, hopefully, with the upcoming weekend (holiday time off in the US) and the break in midwinter, plus some extra time i'm hoping to take off in january... maybe i'll be able to flex my little brain again and get those creative juices flowing, and give myself a comfortable little backlog to start posting forecasts again in feb/march, even if i'm still posting fewer chapters/new things every month. i'm also hoping take what you need will resume as planned as well. until then, thank you for your patience and kindness and encouragement and support. being part of this community means the absolute world to me ♡♡♡
