“so, i am dealing with some intense anxiety atm, on and off. i have...”
Hope you soon feel better. My anxiety is tangled up with food too, it's no fun at all. If I can't face a meal, I have those biscuit bars with dried fruit inside and yogurt flavour topping (Sainsburys do a cheaper version of whatever the brand is). Or sometimes oat biscuits dipped in ovaltine, and grapes if I have any. Basically, something familiar, bland, small, and sweet. The familiarity is important and reassuring.
yes!! this was the rationale behind the mcdonald’s burger, honestly (prompted by someone on twitter recommending i try something nostalgic). i was walking through canterbury earlier and walked past mcdonald’s and... the smell... of mcdonald’s... was very familiar. and i just knew i’d be able to eat it. this is also why i’m good with the tunnocks caramel bars, i think -- i have them with tea a lot as a regular thing. they make me happy. they’re comforting.
grapes are a really good idea -- going to look for some tomorrow. i think oat biscuits might be too much for me, but those biscuit bars sound promising (i think i know the ones).

Avocado toast is delish. I also like avocado + black beans.
after a kind of failed attempt at toast tonight i;m wary of it, but i am tempted to try avocado and beans tomorrow. my problem with both foods is that they’re both too bland for me to be able to deal with them on their own, but maybe if i use salt and maybe have some egg too....

sadly i do not think this is a thing here but it sounds amazing. i should investigate at... The Big Sainsbury’s. i know they do frozen raspberries... (which i enjoy v much)

I find salt and lime mixed in make it a bit more interesting/nicer alone. Or plain tortilla chips, if they wouldn't overwhelm you. But yeah - good luck with the beans x
this is a good idea! the salt & lime in particular (yeah i think the tortilla chips might be too much for me atm). if the avocado is still good i’ll try this if i don’t feel up to beans.
