This is a fact, but TikTok has absolutely ruined dsbm. Sorry..., kekht arakh, and similar bands have become so popular amongst teenage dsbm "fans" that it's just become corny as shit, to an extent, we all can admit that dsbm is a tinyyyyy bit cringy, at least to others who don't listen to it, but even I can admit that for one good dsbm band, there is 50 horrible ones. I personally have nothing against kekht arakh, he has honestly such a unique sound and definitely has talent, but he's just become a TikTok musician and almost anyone who listens to him thinks that he's really obscure, when he's not. Most people don't hate "TikTok dsbm" because of the music itself, they hate it because the fans are absolutely insufferable. Just listen to the music bro, you don't have to be cringy and edgy just to fit into the whole dsbm vibe, literally no one is asking that of you, listen to whatever dsbm band you want, just dont be a cunt about it. thanks to TikTok there are many who believe they are metalheads with depression from listening to decalius. i think bands like Këhkt Arakh, Decalius and Sorry… are some bands who have done irreparable damage because of their outreach on social media. had they stayed in the dark of the underground, i don’t think it ever would’ve come to this, moral of the story is, enjoy whatever shitty band you want, just don't become an insufferable cunt because of it.
