You tiredly knocked on Janus' door, sighing. You weren't really that good friends with Janus, but to be honest, he was your only option right now. It was about... 3 am and you knew that Janus was awake. You would've gone to Virgil, but he was gone for the weekend. Went to a friend's or something. So now you were left at you and Virgil's dorm. Alone.

Janus opened the door, as you suspected he was fully dressed, as if this was just a normal afternoon. ``Uh.... Good Evening.`` he said, raising an eyebrow at you, scanning you. You were just wearing your PJs, and was holding a pillow, just so that if you were actually allowed to sleep here, his pillows wouldn't get your scent on them. Or mabye he was just afraid of bacteria or something. Honestly, you just brought it to have something to clutch to calm your nerves.

``Uhm... I-I was just wondering if... I could... Sleep here? I-I can't sleep a-and Virgil isn't home and you're the only one I know that's home so-`` he cut you off with a chuckle, waving you in. You thanked him quietly, closing the door behind you. His livingroom was dark, only lighting up with yellow fairy lights. You looked over at the couch, seeing blankets and pillows heaped up into it, and a paused movie on the screen.

``I'm-I'm so sorry!`` you said, guilt rising in you. ``I didn't think that you might be doing something! It's not because I think you don't have life, I think you do! You're clearly very hardworking and-``

Again, he cut you off with a chuckle, shaking his head. ``Don't worry about it, Little Lamb. I like company`` he chuckled, sitting down on the couch and patting beside him for you to sit. You walked over and he turned on the movie, you carefully grabbing one of the blankets, wrapping yourself up. It was quiet for a while.

``Wait.... Little Lamb?`` you asked, a laugh flowing through your voice. He turned to you, also giving a laugh and a nod. ``Yeah! Because you're fluffy-`` he ruffled your hair ``-and small.`` he booped your nose, and both of you laughed. Slowly, warmth started running up your body, making it's home in your face. You were blushing... God damn it.

The movie went on, and you were slowly starting to nod off a bit. You didn't even notice that you started leaning your head on Janus, or his arm bringing you closer. Right before you fully fell asleep, you heard him mutter something that sounded like a soft ``Good night`` and you felt a kiss at the top of your head.

It was a nice night.

He looked over at the person who sat at the table. They stirred their coffee as he began to make his lavender tea.

“Are you okay over there? You look tired,” he asked, turning with his tea to look at them.

“I’m okay, Janus.” I didn’t sleep last night. 

His brows knit together as he looked at them. Their (e/c) eyes had no life in them as they replied.

With a slow and steady hand, he set his half empty cup of tea down. “Did you eat today? Should I make you some dinner?”

“No, I’m okay.” A weary smile graced their features. “I had some lunch not too long ago.” I haven’t eaten in 2 days.

He nodded and hummed. Janus squinted before finishing his tea and rinsing out the cup.

“I’m gonna head to my room. Don’t follow me.” Please don’t leave me alone. They stood, walking out of the kitchen and going to their room.

Janus followed suit, leaning against their bedroom doorway. “(Y/n), you can talk to me.”

“Leave me alone.” I need a hug.

Without a second thought, the snake scooped them up and hugged them close, not planning on letting go.

“I promise you can talk to me. I will never make fun of you and I will never abandon you,” he spoke quietly, trying to make sure they knew he was being truthful.

“Y-You promise..?” They replied and backed up slightly to see his face.

The truthfulness in his eyes was overwhelming, allowing them to bury their face into his shoulder and cry their heart out. The entire time, he rubbed their back and whispered comforting words until they finally felt better.

He was acting weird, even for him. While one might think someone as cheerful and bouncy as you wouldn't mix well with Deceit, it was actually quite the opposite. Your bubbliness was actually quite amusing to the snake man and both you and him caught him smiling and almost laughing almost every time you'd hang out. Today however, he wasn't even reacting much to your excited rambling about a show you had just started watching. He just sat on the end of the couch, head resting in his hand, staring into space. Once you noticed this, you cut yourself off and scooted down the couch to sit next to him.

"Dee?" He hummed. "What's up?"

"Nothing," he hissed. "Everything is just sunshine and rainbows."

You rolled your eyes. "Y'know, for a guy whose name is Deceit, you're not real good at lying. Besides, brooding to yourself isn't going to help anything."

"Oh, really? So what do you suggest I do instead?"

"Well first of all, stop being grumpy, it's lame and also not helping you. Second, you might feel better talking about it." You grinned at him.

He smiled back for a moment, then shook his head. "I appreciate the offer, but I'd rather not. It's just been a very long day and I don't want to think about it any more than I already have."

"Alrighty then, how about we play a game instead?"

He raised an eyebrow. "What kind of game?"

"Tag!" you yelled, lightly smacking his chest. "You're it!"

With that, you ran off giggling and Deceit smiled again before racing after you. It was nice knowing that you were willing to help in whatever way you could. He almost felt bad that he was about to destroy you in your little game.

Okay buddy i am so fucking sorry like i was like yeah i’m totally gonna write and then i got some requests and i was like.... pardon? i had just started my first job and it was hard trying to balence everything so i’m so so so sorry it took me so long to get to this and i hope it’s atleast a little decent. crying until you could no longer breathe wasn’t on your calendar for today, but unfortunately that’s how it goes when you’re being troubled with persistent self doubt. “Im a horrible person.” and “how could i do this?” were a few thoughts you kept repeating to yourself. You were Roman and Patton’s friends. Logan and Virgil’s not deceits. To make it even worse you weren’t sure if you even wanted to just be his friend. Every time you saw him your heart raced and face blushed. “Oh god why am i doing this to myself.” you cried out more. You could barely see anymore, your eyes are puffy and red. your cheeks are dark and every few seconds you had to clean off the snot from your nose. “Oh my.” A figure walked through the frame of your bedroom door, to be closer to you. “Y/n dear, what seems to be the problem?” you turned around from your spot on the floor to be met with the eyes of a familiar face. Deceit. You clean of your face as best you can with the sleeves of your shirt and give him a dirty look. “You know what’s wrong. Don’t play dumb with me.” he raised an eyebrow. “And if i knew that would you think i’d be asking?” you rolled your eyes before taking a breath to speak again. “it’s you. you’ve destroyed my life!” he gasped. “Me!?” he squeals. “i have done nothing of the sort! what is this abou-“ just as he was about to ask the memory popped in his head. “Oh.” he said with a smirk. “you mean... our kiss.” he gave out a chuckle. “That kiss went both ways you know. if you wanted to stop you could’ve just pulled away.” with your body full of anger, you stood quickly. With the look on your face it seemed as you were ready to kill him. “but i didn’t! why didn’t i? why did i kiss you and why do i want to be your friend. i can’t be your friend. you’re a bad person! my friends are logan and virgil and-“ “No!” he cut you off. “No No No No. I’m a liar i’m not a murderer. so what if your little friends don’t like me. they don’t control you do they? The truth is you’re the liar.” you backed up. he can’t be serious can he? “you kissed back, if you didn’t want to or if you even really cared what they would think you wouldn’t have done it. Face it! You want to be my friend. you wanted to kiss me then and you want to kiss me now.” you took a deep breath. “So do it. Kiss me. Forget about your friends and think about what might make you happy.” He walked closer to you. and once only inches from you, he slowly brought his face closer, and his lips fell to yours. “deceit.” he shushed you. “Y/n, kiss me. i don’t know how much longer i can pretend i don’t want to kiss you every second. please for the love of god just kiss me.” You finally kissed back and there was no denying the great in your chest and the butterflies in your tummy. This is what’s right for you, and if your friends don’t approve then are hey really the friends for you?

Deceit looks down into your eyes, you watch his snake pupil dilates and he seems to gaze at you as if stalking prey with a dangerous smirk. No, that's not quite right... he's looking at you with lust. He takes a small step toward you and you take a small step back in response. Your heart beats against you chest as if trying to escape. One of his fangs pop out as his smirk grows to show teeth. He backs you into a wall and bends his mouth to your ear with a quiet, breathy hum.

"Oh sssweetheart," His deep voice vibrates against your eardrums and you feel your knees go weak. "I need you~."
