🌚♐︎ New moon in Sagittarius; ♑︎ Saturn moves into Capricorn; ♏︎ Mars transiting Scorpio Deception is concerned only with his own deceit and hears nothing, which turns out to be his downfall. #deception #voice #cardoftheday #dailytarotcard #dailytarotbird #birdsoftarot #blackandthemoon #oracleofoddities #firstedition #decembertarot #tarotreadersofinstagram (at Tucson, Arizona)
Anxiety isn’t always circumstantial. I’m often asked what it is I’m anxious about. What’s going on? What happened? Sometimes I go to sleep anxious and wake up anxious for no particular reason at all. Sometimes it’s a distant worry, sometimes it’s enough to tie my stomach in knots. #anxiety #cardoftheday #dailytarotcard #birdsoftarot #blackandthemoon #oracleofoddities #firstedition #decembertarot #tarotreadersofinstagram (at Tucson, Arizona)
At some point today I was wondering why the hell I’m not sleeping or remembering anything or coping in general, then I realized tomorrow Mercury, which rules Gemini, is turning retrograde in Sagittarius and oh hey, Saturn, you’re still there. There will also be a full moon in Gemini, the sign of my natal moon! Call me Loony? Tonight before bed I asked the Oracle of Oddities what I need to keep in mind tomorrow: self. I can’t pour from an empty kettle. #self #cardoftheday #dailytarotcard #birdsoftarot #oracleofoddities #firstedition #decembertarot #tarotreadersofinstagram (at Tucson, Arizona)
A Celtic Cross spread for a dear friend ✨ You’re in a good place right now, but your own anxieties are keeping you from seeing it. Ten of Cups and the Star shine with hope and comfort and love and caring; it’s like all the ingredients are in the pot, but that Nine of Swords is keeping you from being able to turn the stove on. Maybe an actual lack of sleep is having an affect on your physical body, or you’re afraid of something. We can get caught up on this card as full of stress and nightmares, but it’s still numbered nine, still nearing the end of its cycle. You’re coming from a place of hard work- Nine of Wands indicates that you’ve been through some shit, but you’ve stood your ground and have a lot to say for it, bumps and bruises included. Ahead of you I see potential for a great revival, but if that’s going to happen, there needs to be an intense passion behind it. It won’t just happen, it’ll have to come from within you. The combination of Nines and Aces to me feels stressful. Give things the time they need to culminate before you get caught up in something new. You may be reminiscing about times before, maybe feeling nostalgic as many people can this time of year, but reversed Two of Pentacles tells me you already know this isn’t serving you. It’s weighing you down and you know balance needs to be found here. The High Priestess in her reversed position implies that you may be hiding something from yourself about what you really want. Be true to your desires, your hopes and wishes, because they’re attainable. Once you know, the Knave of Swords will be there to carry you through with his efficiency and determination. #tarotspread #celticcross #cardoftheday #dailytarotcard #birdsoftarot #universaltarot #decembertarot #tarotreadersofinstagram (at Tucson, Arizona)
A timeline spread for Lydia, our mysterious stray cat 🖤 Since her very beginning, fate was never in her favor. The Wheel of Fortune reversed suggests bad luck and plans broken by uncontrollable negative forces; there may have been initial good intentions with her, but nothing went the way it was supposed to go. She’s clearly been through tumultuous situations. Maybe people fought over her, maybe she was the victim of a torn family, but it caused her to become defensive. The Ace of Wands suggests a new beginning for her, however the reversed position can indicate being burdened by a lack of direction or delays, a missing spark; homelessness? The Moon may be a luminary but it’s always reflected light; it does not produce its own. Shadows cast by this reflected light are undefined and hazy, and what the light does show us is often unclear, clouded, and often still too dark to make out completely. Reversing this card implies that things will start to become sharper and more defined for her. #timelinespread #tarotstorytelling #cardoftheday #dailytarotcard #birdsoftarot #universaltarot #decembertarot #tarotreadersofinstagram (at Tucson, Arizona)
🌝♊︎ Full Supermoon in Gemini and Mercury Retrograde ✨Area of tension or polarity: XVI The Tower: Sudden changes, chaos, dust in the air clouding my vision. ✨How I can grow here: VIII Strength: A calmer approach with endless patience and perseverance will be more effective, rather than pushing through with all my might. ✨What I must discard to transcend polarity: Queen of Cups (r): Oversensitivity, emotional insecurity, and codependency. Regaining independence and emotional stability are key in seeing through the dust. ✨And what I need to embrace: XIII Death (r): As opposed to the Tower, Death represents a slower transformation; the end of one thing so that another thing may begin anew. Reversed can represent a resistance to this necessary change. This is a tough one, but I believe my deck is telling me that change does not have to be entirely out of my control, and I am not a victim of fate. ✨This is tricky and needs a more practical approach: III of Swords (r): Probably the most literal card in the deck, this can represent heartbreak, betrayal, and mental devastation. Reversed can mean the opposite; healing, releasing coveted pain, and forgiveness. Breaches in trust need to be approached cautiously, and slowly. This confirms what Strength just told me. ✨This needs to be talked about: VIII of Pentacles (r): This card represents time well spent and progress made. Reversed, this is taken to the extreme. Perfectionism, lack of determination or focus, and lack of self confidence are getting in the way of my progress. ✨Theme of this retrograde: Ace of Swords: Aces are a beginning, and swords are the mind. Starting a some kind of project this month seems like a good idea? ✨Mental blocks: Justice (r): Obviously this card reversed represents injustice, unfairness, lies or no access to the truth. This is interesting, considering the state of my society right now. ✨What I need to grasp by the 22nd when Mercury stations direct: Queen of Wands (r): I have no doubts this is my deck telling me to get ahold of myself. #tarotspread #cardoftheday #dailytarotcard #birdsoftarot #universaltarot #decembertarot #tarotreadersofinstagram (at Tucson, Arizona)
#decembertarot Day 17 uses the themes of the king cards- power, success and mastery. What were my sources of power this year? Temperence: keeping an open mind and encouraging balance in my life Where did I succeed? Three of coins: achieving satisfaction in many aspects of my life but especially my career (truth. I love what I do). It can be emotionally challenging but I really found ways to cope this year. What do you have to say about mastery? Magician (reversed): I think it's trying to tell me that my journey is never going to be finished. The magician is a powerful card, it fits with today's theme and it reminds us of our magical journey through life. Its telling me that the journey is never over and the learning is never finished.
