Those words stopped Theo in his tracks. He turned and looked at Maya, trying his best to come up with words to say. Because there weren’t any. He had waited so long to here her say those words, and now it just seemed like such a terrible time. “You waited till I was leaving?” He asked her, hands shoved in his pockets. “Would you have even said that if I wasn’t about to disappear out of your life again?”

She knew she was risking further heartbreak by telling him, but it was now or never.  Her stomach was in knots and her heart was racing, but she knew if she didn’t do this, she would always regret it.  “I’ve wanted to tell you since I ran into you.  I’ve wanted to tell you every day, but I was too scared.  I’m still terrified, but I’m more afraid of you leaving without knowing how much I love you.”

The show had been done filming for a few months now.  It was on TV now, and watching herself fall in love with Theo all over again hurt Maya more than she wanted to admit.  She missed him.  She knew she had ended things because he deserved to fall in love with his perfect match, but that didn’t make her love him any less.  It was almost like fate that when she was walking through the city, thinking about him, she looked up from her phone and saw him standing ahead of her on the sidewalk.  Her eyes widened, and she continued towards him before stopping when he noticed her.  “Theo?” she asked, still in disbelief that he was there.  “W-What are you doing here?”
