Ix is, once again, in a local coffee shop. This time, of course, he’s talking with one of his moms over the communication device in standard phone more.

A comment Daisra makes gets him laughing, and walking face-first into someone else. “Whooof! Ow. Um. Sorry, lady. Didn’t mean to walk into you, I was distracted talking to my mom.”

“Did you run into someone again, Ix?” “Mom, not now. I’m trying to apologize.” The voice on the other side of the line sniggers.

For the past few minutes, she noticed that a young girl kept glancing her way. Given the time of the year, she could only assume that she believed she was in a costume. Deciding to be a holiday killjoy, she decided to confront her.

“So is there something wrong? Couldn’t help but notice you.”

With ease, Violet completes yet another cereal box maze by tracing the path with a finger. Still, she shows no sign of accomplishment. Instead, she stuffs the box back on the shelf, utterly disappointed. “He’s a bee! He can just fly over the walls!”

Despite only being in Spirale for a few days, Togami is already a regular at the library; arriving in the morning and leaving in the evening -- sometimes at night, even -- he will spend the entire day in silence and solitude, sometimes not even uttering a word (to anyone but himself, that is). To be honest, that’s the way he likes it; while being pulled from his world is an incredible hassle and one he’s still coming to terms with, at least he doesn’t have to deal with his annoying classmates. Also, reading is his favorite pastime, and not only is he attempting to get some research done on what this place really is, but it’s helped keep his mind busy so he doesn’t dwell on things -- like the state of the Conglomerate without its heir.

As such, today is just like any other day; there he sits at a table with a large stack of books in front of him, and he eagerly devours each and every one. Most people know better than to approach him due to his naturally intimidating aura -- just one glare frightens them away -- but that hasn’t stopped a young girl from sliding into the seat across from him, something that he immediately notices despite being absorbed in his book. He’s not sure if she wants something or if she just needs a seat, but he says nothing -- instead glancing up from the pages to give her a look, then lowering his eyes once more. Actions speak louder than words, after all, and they were in a library...

Ah, food. One of the simplest, yet best pleasures in human life. What a better way to highlight the wonders of life than to eat to your heart's content, until your belly explodes?

Battler made sure to help with at least this part of the festival. Around the tables in Archimedes, goat butlers serve people with seemingly endless dishes, one more delicious than the other. Ronove is sure having his fill of work covered today. People rejoice at the taste and use it as an excuse to start conversation.

As for the redhead, he is delighting himself with a chicken leg when he spots a dangerous scene - one of the goats trips down! It was carrying what it seems like hot soup, all aimed to fall at a scroll that a girl was reading at the floor!

In a matter of seconds, Battler prevents the worst by turning the soup into golden butterflies. Sighing in relief, he approaches the scroll's owner. "Are you okay? I hope you didn't get-" ...This is when something odd about this scene becomes clear to Battler. "Wait, why are you reading a scroll on the floor in the middle of a banquet?!"

HE'S KEENLY AWARE OF HIS SURROUNDINGS, like the edge of a blade carefully sharpened into a FORMIDABLE point. he's solemn and dutiful in his travails, taking note of littering and foolhardy behavior - as always. it has always been a STRUGGLE to shut off that section of his mind, an uphill struggle forcing himself to rest. one would assume that spiralefes would make such an ordeal easier, but alas … his eyes peek into the large maze that's been erected, trying to justify a reason for entering — only to see a young woman do that job for him. hands gently lift the book she must have dropped upon entry, a sharp breath through his nostrils upon following. ❝wait up!❞
