@buriedrequiem
Normally, she would be the one getting questions about being lost. It always annoyed her to be asked, but watching this kid. She could without a doubt say he was lost.
"Let me guess, took a wrong turn and now you can't find your way back. You don't look like the type to be out this late."
eternity-breaker:
“Alright, I apologize.” Zynnia replied, holding her hands up in front of her in a gesture of peace. “I meant no disrespect.
"It's fine. Anyways, like I said. Don't worry too much about me. I'm not going to bother you if you aren't going to bother me. We're not here because it's fun, so the least we can do is not make it hell." Although now that she thought about it, there was one thing she could do. Getting up from her chair, she moved towards the window.
"If anything, you could close the blinds in the mornings and evenings. The sun isn't good for my skin."
Putting out a quick starter call with a cap of 2 to get back into the swing of things.

@vampyrfantasy
“Well, alright then. I suppose that’s fine.”
A vampire, then? Seemed unlikely they’d cross paths very often, in that case. The nightlife didn’t interest Zynnia much.
“I’m not cleaning up any blood you happen to spill around here.”
“You know it’s not like I’m back here because it’s fun. I don’t need an oversized tin can assuming what I’m going to do.”
Besides, it was hard enough to even get enough blood in this city without making a scene. Spilling any would have been a waste.
“I’m more than willing to play nice. But I’m not going to put up with these comments every time I come back here.”
“It seems we’re going to be roommates for now. Perhaps we should establish some boundaries now, to avoid fights later?”
“Why? I keep to myself, you keep to yourself. I didn’t think that actually had to be said. Plus, I’m only really going to be here to sleep during the day.”
“ Phew.. nothing quite beats night time in the fall.. pitch black at the earliest of times, I’d better hurry it up and get back lest something jumps at me. “ A brief hint of laughter escaped Morgan’s lips at the little joke he made at his own expense, if only because things that go bump in the night were something he knew how to take care of. With hands full of bags, on his usual tri-weekly shopping trip, he’d run through the empty streets of Spiral to get back home, thinking for some time he was alone.. but always felt the incessant need to turn his head. Weird.
♔ —• It was only then he saw the silhouette of a girl approach him. Nothing too common.. maybe she was lost and needed some help getting back home herself. She wore a delightfully colorful dress however, one that couldn’t help make him smile. A darling piece, as he quickly approached her.
“ ‘Scuse me, little miss! You need any help? It’s gettin’ pretty dark as of late so it’s a bit harder to see things, but I don’t mind offerin’ a hand if you need it. “
@vampyrfantasy
There were only so many times that she could give a reaction for being mistaken for a child. At times she felt like it wasn't even worth refuting since the next person would make the same mistake. At the very least, she could appreciate how he didn't directly make the claim.
"I can assure you that I will be completely fine. If anything the street lights will be enough to see." Typically remaining within city bounds during her nightly strolls. So vision would never be an issue. Soon enough her eyes would shift towards the collection of goods he had.
"Although I would be lying if I said that it doesn't get boring. So I wouldn't mind some company. Plus it looks like you might be the one who needs a hand."

It felt a bit off getting business advice from her, but she wasn’t suggesting anything too inane, which was certainly nice. Yet even so, the idea of renting a place wasn’t much of an idea to him— if only because he was stubborn. “I’ll certainly consider it,” he’d lie.
“That’s certainly an interesting question, though. It’s not as though I was born in Gensokyo myself— but that was before we referred to it as ‘outside’… even so, this isn’t actually the first time.” He wasn’t counting his first foray into this place, either. “It was more than a few years back, but there was a time where I accidentally found myself on the other side of the border. Yukari brought me back after a little while… it was sometime before you started planning on going to the Moon, I believe.”
“Oh? Is that so? Then forgive me for assuming that you were a Gensokyo native.” It would have been the right assumptions most of the time, but it was certainly possible for foreigners to find their way in. Herself and the Lunarians were prefect examples of that.
“How did you manage to accidentally find yourself on the other side of the border? Given that Yukari’s involved, I’m sure she’s partially to blame for it.”

The struggles of survival had scarcely occurred to Nier. She’d never really had to worry about it before, and right now things like food and shelter were far from the forefront of her thoughts. Things had always simply worked themselves out in the past. She shakes her head at the girl, turning away. “I don’t really care about things like that…” she says, half-sighing. “I have to make sure no one I know is in danger. Whatever happens to me doesn’t really matter…”
In all honesty, Nier wants to simply abandon this girl. Perhaps if the Captain were here, perhaps if her friends were here, she’d think differently, but having to take care of someone sounds like a burden she can’t be bothered to shoulder. She simply has more pressing issues beating against her heart than the well-being of a stranger.
Nier turns away again, but only for a moment before the girl mentions her phone. At that, Nier turns back, eyes wide. “A-ah… Y-you do? I-I have to make sure she’s alright, if anything happened to her, then…”
Nier clutches at her head again, frowning. She can’t think of anything bad happening to Djeeta, she won’t. It’s unimaginable, unthinkable, impossible. If there’s anything she can do, she has to try.
And so Nier relents, finally nodding. “A-alright, you can come with us… But we have to be careful, I can’t use my magic that much…”
With another sigh, she turns and looks at one of the buildings she’d been through earlier. “U-um, I saw a sign for a food pantry in there…” she says, pointing. “I wasn’t hungry, so I didn’t look, but if you need food…”
The moment she was initially rejected, her smile vanished and her wings drooped. Regardless of her odd reasoning, she couldn’t fault her for not wanting the extra burden. Seeing no other reason to linger around, she prepared herself to head out. Twirling her spear so the blunt end was facing the ground for her to use as a crutch. However before she could take a step, she heard the other call out to her.
“I don’t have any issue with you using my phone. It’s not like I really have anyone to call anyway. The battery is still good but we don’t have any service here so we’ll need to find a good spot.” Her mood turning around when she was finally accepted to tag along. “That’s fine, the less fighting we do the better we’ll be.”
Hearing that there was a food pantry was a relief. Hopefully, that meant there supplies suitable for people, such as medical goods. “I think it would be good if we went there. If anything we could just take what we need and keep moving.”
hiddenstar:
Now this one was an absolutely hilarious sight to see in a place such as this. The vampire, shrouded by the lush leaves of Nommin Island’s tropical foliage, was one hundred percent out of place. Ah, but wasn’t this a nice opportunity? For Okina, that is.
She’s never had the chance to acquaint herself properly with the vampire.
How could she not know of her, though? That Vampire Incident still was fresh in her mind, even if it was quite a while ago now— as was her little mist-based tantrum. She had even showed up at the fireworks show and a few parties at the shrine she attended, hadn’t she… not that Okina had ever bothered with her personally. So why not properly introduce herself now?
Right now, while the vampire was clearly sulking in the shade, on a sunny island surrounded by an endlessly running body of water. … She had to stop herself from laughing as she approached.
“Oh my? What an amazing sight. Is that— are you the Remilia Scarlet?”
“What a surprise~ Finding you in a place like this… wonderful!”
With a voice slightly higher than her usual tone, Okina greeted Remilia much like a fan would to a celebrity. Naturally, her teasing intent should have been obvious.
@vampyrfantasy
While the island may have been a paradise for others, but it was hell for her. Any attempt of leaving her current position would have put the vampire at risk. Growing more agitated by the minute as she watched everyone enjoy the sunny day. The last thing she needed was a snickering goddess to get a laugh from her misfortune.
“Why, yes it is. It’s a shame that I’m feeling a little under the weather. But I don’t think that should stop you. You should run along and have fun with everyone else.” Shooing her away from the safety of the shaded brush. Hopefully, she’ll take the hint but it was very unlikely. It looked like this long day was about to get longer.

Nier stops in her tracks as the girl calls out to her, unable to resist the call of someone who wants her, despite the fear she feels. After a few moments of deliberation, she turns, her head down and her arms crossed over her chest like the petals of some unfortunate flower. Her eyes only meet the ground, but she nods in response to the girl’s questions. “Y-yes, I came from the main island… I-I was trying to go to one of the other islands, but I ended up here instead… I thought some people I knew might be there, but now I’m…”
She trails off, hugging at her arms. She certainly isn’t alone, not with Death. The right word doesn’t come to mind, so Nier simply lets the thought die without an end.
After a moment, her ears flick as a new thought occurs to her. “A-aah, my phone…! I got rid of it!”
Nier’s hands move to clutch at her head, tightening around her skull as if to squeeze out the bad memory. “W-when it stopped working, I just threw it, and it broke! W-what if someone tries to find me, what if the Captain calls me? What if I can’t get off this island?”
Her hands take on frenzied motions, scratching at her hair as the girl grimaces in her new torments. Tears begin to stream from her eyes, and she cries out in pain. “Th-this isn’t fair! I can’t even show the captain my new swimsuit!”
A few moments later, Nier collects herself as best as she’s able. Drawing her sleeve across her eyes in a vain attempt to dry them, she finally meets the eyes of the other girl. “I guess it can’t be helped right now… Is there something else you needed from me…?”
Her outburst did catch her off guard, but it was something she should have expected. Being stuck on an island with deadly monsters would push anyone to their limits. Remilia was only able to keep herself composed thanks to prior life or death experiences. However, that didn't make watching it any less unsettling. It reminded her of her sister in her worst moments.
Driving her spear into the ground, she would lean on it for support. "To be honest, there's quite a bit that I can use help with right now. But I'm sure we're both looking for shelter, food, all of that. I thought that we could at least help each other out."
Pausing for a moment, she found it difficult to bargain with her in her current state. No matter how she could word it, it would have just been admitting weakness. A fact that the prideful vampire despised yet saw no alternative. She would just have to hope for the mercy of the stranger.
"I know that I'm pretty beaten up right now, but I'll do whatever I can to help get us off this island." Giving her a faint smile, hoping that could help ease the tension. "We still have my phone, whenever it's working again you can try calling your Captain with it."

There was an ugly little rumor in Gensokyo that seemed to mention how he wasn’t much of a salesman— so he wondered if that was the reason for her surprise. But of course, it’s not like Remilia had ever directly purchased anything from him, anyways.
Now, had her maid been here, she would have been able to defend his integrity… probably. … No, actually, although she was a paying customer, she would probably agree with what her mistress said like the proper made that she was.
“I certainly have. And while I admit that I’ve found some places… it’s not exactly the same, you see. I’d much rather have a place to call my own than some borrowed space…”
“That’s the reason why I went and opened my store to begin with, anyways— not that you would know. This was before you even arrived in Gensokyo, I believe… but, even so, my feelings are still the same here.”
In other words— he was as stubborn as usual.
"Well, I suppose it's good that you aren't letting a little bit of misfortune keep your business down. I would still recommend the rental option if you absolutely can not find anything else. It would certainly look nicer compared to carrying everything around with you."
That was the best advice she could give on the matter. If he was a good enough merchant he'll be able to figure out what he needs to do to succeed.
"Oh that reminds me, this would be your first time in the outside world, wouldn't it? It's not the one that I'm familiar with but I'm sure it counts for something."
deathreversed:
At least she has Death by her side. Without the Primal Beast, Nier would’ve certainly been killed by Haughst Isle’s deleterious denizens. Monsters the likes of which she’s never seen, but which all share a single-minded bloodthirstiness that forces the pair’s hand.
“It’s okay because they’re only monsters, isn’t it…?” Nier asks, standing over the creature’s body.
“It’s as you say,” answers Death, examining the blood on her digits. “There’s nothing wrong with defending oneself, is there? Especially against… monsters such as these…”
Nier finds the courage to lean in just a little closer to the corpse. “I’ve never seen monsters like this before, but they’re all over this island… I-I wonder if the Captain would know about them…”
Sighing, Nier reaches up to wipe the blood from her own face as Death dissipates into a cloud of dark mist. It seems that there’s less monsters inside the island’s buildings, so if she can find a way back in, then perhaps she’ll also find a modicum of safety.
It is at that point, however, Nier realizes she’s not alone. There’s a child watching her.
Giving a small start, Nier thinks of what to say, of what to do. It should be fairly easy to explain what’s happened, but something in her mind simply doesn’t see the point. It would be too stressful to try and travel with a companion.
Nier simply bows her head. “E-excuse me…” she mumbles. And then she turns and walks away. Surely the child can fend for themselves.
@vampyrfantasy
Under usual circumstances, she actually wouldn’t be too bothered by being brought to an island like this. If anything the thought of it was actually a little exciting. At least that would have held true if she still had access to her magic. Without that and her vampiric traits, she was as vulnerable as any ordinary human.
Armed with a makeshift spear, she struggled through the island as she sought out some sort of shelter. Narrowly winning her encounters with the monsters on the island. But given enough time, the vampire would find her way to one of the buildings.
For a moment, she felt some relief. Something that would provide protection against any potential sunlight and hopefully something to treat her injuries. However, that feeling vanished the moment she noticed a dark cloud from the corner of her eye. Snapping her attention toward its source to find a young girl standing alone. It didn’t take long for the other to notice her too. Given how she didn’t make any attempt to attack, were they both stuck in the same situation?
“You’re fine, ah! Wait!" Following her but making sure to keep a good distance between them. "You're from the city right? Spirale? Looked at that message they sent out and ended up here?" Flashing her own phone in hopes that it was something she could relate to.
orlonditherose:
🌹 Seeing as there is nothing happening right in front of her, he’s just now realizing that she in fact only stoppened to open her parasol. One eyebrow rised, he glances up to the sky himself briefly.
“You were the one who stopped suddenly over what? A little bit of sun? I would’ve let that slide, but you owe me an apology now for your insult. No one insults a vampire royalty shamelessly like that and gets away unpunished!”
Once he began asking for an apology and claiming to be vampire royalty, she lost her composure. Breaking into laughter as she struggled to keep herself properly shaded. "I'm sorry, I can't believe you actually said that as if it meant something." Taking a moment to finally regain herself.
"Alright, daywalker." The grin on her face made it obvious she was trying to antagonize him. "If you're trying to pull the royalty card on me you clearly don't know who I am. Or that being a prince from some distant clan matters here. Do you have anything else you would like to try?"
helpingthelongrain:
“— I’m trying my best here, okay?” With a frank response, Rinnosuke sighs. “Not that I haven’t been successful. I’d wager the amount of customers I’ve had here to be at least slightly greater than the amount I’ve had back in Gensokyo, I’ll have you know.”
That really wasn’t much to brag about, though.
“Though I do miss having a building to work from…”
“Really? I never would have expected that.” That just begged the question of if they pitied him or if they respected the effort he put into his store. Yet again this modern world is going against her expectations.
“Have you tried looking around for one? I’m sure that you could find a small one somewhere in this city. They can’t be that expensive.”
@helpingthelongrain
It seemed that no matter where he was, Rinnosuke stuck to the same routine. While his goods in Gensyokyo stood out for their novelty she had her doubts about him doing well here. From what she could see it was all just junk. The lack of a real storefront also didn't help his case. She could only look at the collection with confusion.
"So, how long did you say that you've been in 'business' for?"
