Lucifer was ruling hell, going through day after monotonous day, without a hope to leave it, they, the demons, had threatened someone near and dear to him. Hell was going to fall apart without him, and they had come looking for him, finding him smitten with a human. Therefore, he’d sacrificed himself for her, going back to hell to ensure that the demons would be kept in line, never straying to Los Angeles and laying eyes on Chloe again. He could not bear it if anything were to happen to her because his demons were trying to save him from humanity.
He almost hated ruling hell as much as he hated not seeing her.

Of all the things Chloe expects to find on Lucifer’s bookshelves, a book of fairy tales isn’t one. Only, it’s no ordinary book and curiosity has consequences. This magic tome traps Chloe in its spell, and she has to make her way through nine tales to escape its pages!
