Happy April to my declarationpaper stans
ok. draw george Washington papyrus fanchild
Fuck you. I actually hate you. I want to crush your skull like a soda can being brought to the sea floor. Because I fucking drew a declarationpaper fanchild and I unironically love him.
His name is Fraktur after the "old english" font, and he is not a human, not a skeleton, but a revenant, the skeletal yet skin-bearing undead creature that Matpat theorized Sans to be in the Sans is Ness video. He's a monster, but he's an unnaturally physical one, to the point that his magic actually can't escape his body so he can only affect himself with his own magic. He only really has gravity manipulation and mostly uses it to be reaaaallly heavy, inspired by the account made by William of Newburgh in Historia Rerum Anglicarum where the revenant of a widow's husband kept visiting her bedchambers at night and crushing her with his body.
He's already unnaturally heavy though so now I'm imagining a recreation of the aforementioned where Fraktur climbs into Washington's bed at night because he had a nightmare, and proceeds to crush all of the president's bones.
Is any of his shit historically accurate? No, his getup is medieval England instead of colonial America. But maybe that kind of works, since Papyrus is an ancient-egyptian styled pseudoarchaic font and Washington is, yknow, English. Maybe that's how Font Genes work.
@truech4ra (a little bird told me you wanted declarationpaper)
please make more declaration paper art i need declaration paper i need it desperately
ok
Who is George Washington and why papyrus undertale calls him babygirl
So actually, Toby Fox confirmed on twitter that before the Monster-Human war, Papyrus actually fought in this war beside this "George Washington" that led to the independence of this one human colony. George apparently was the first president of that new country, and despite being a human he actually led his troops on the side of the monsters during the Monster-Human war. I imagine Papyrus calls him "babygirl" out of respect.
actually im gonna use this ask just to solidify declarationpaper lore: papyrus is incredibly ancient and was born/died during ancient egyptian times and the only reason he's still around is because he wasn't mummified so he wasn't accepted by the gods. he was also therefore around and heard about it when jesus came back from the dead. he remembers it making "big news" but isn't aware that there's a religion about him on account of the fact he cannot, for the life of him, remember the name of jesus when it happened
like,
actually bc im not gonna make the comic im gonna at least tell you the plot
so That portrait of papyrus and washington was discovered and beginning to make rounds and papyrus, now that he's on the surface, goes to visit washington's tomb. the security guard lets him in, just off the principle that he's made out with george washington, and he pays his respects with a bouquet of roses, but as he leaves, he hears george washington like "flowers? i thought we were over this silly banter"
and papyrus looks behind him and BOOM george washington has crawled out of his tomb and he's a SKELETON NOW and then they kiss
interesting bit of lore in the declarationpaper universe that is now just a headcanon of mine for canon undertale: Undertale's textboxes are a recent and modern invention, and textboxes used to be made of paper like Fraktur. Different places made different textboxes independently which is why Deltarune's is different
semi inspired by the yellow names being a fashion choice:
mr president... nyehehaheh........ i didn't know you had such soft lips...
