so in other news, when i was home mum said that when i’m done with uni and have a steady flat i can take gizmo and have him up here! and i am so fucking excited about that because he’s my lovely baby and i thought i’d only get to see him on short visits home and i’d actually die a little because i raised him from a tiny, far too young kitten to a sweet cat for a solid four years and then thought i wouldn’t get to live with him. but!! i do get to live with him!!! he’ll be seven when i get him up here, approximately, and he’ll need to re-adjust to being an indoors cat again but i know how to keep the little dude occupied and exercised and well fed and shit man i am so so fucking happy. i thought i wouldn’t get to live with my little baby ever again. but i will. i fucking will and i am s o so happy.

#decoder adventures #honestly you have no idea how pleased i am #it was a background major source of anxiety that i'd lose both my cats when i couldn't be with them #i already lost mister basil when i hadn't seen him in months and i'm still kind of knocked from it ngl #i miss him so bad #i really wish i'd gotten to see him sooner before he passed on #and i was literally terrified that the same would happen to gizboo #like i adopted basil #i knew he was an older cat with health problems when he chose me #and i knew he wouldn't be with us long (although he did last a good solid seven or eight years and was incredible throughout that)#but i literally raised gizmo #he was like three weeks to young to be given away when i got him #he was tiny and had a horrid flea problem and i think worms too?#and we got him treated at the vet #and i raised him in the upstairs corridor on my own #with food and water dishes and i think we even had that special carton kitten milk shit??#i don't remember #but i played with him daily and did my homework sat by him and sneaked him into my room a lot #and he was an anxious little baby but he adored me #he still does adore me #but i rarely see him now #and he's so fuckin happy every time he sees me #moreso now than ever since he doesn't get socialised a lot because the puppy is still being trained not to chase cats since his old owners #were literal asshats #and i would beat them black and fucking blue if i ever met them #but it means giz is super lonely rn #and now that i know i can have him live with me in two years #and have him not be lonely (because he's as big an attention seeker as i am)#i am so happy because i'll get my cat in a space that i'm creating and it'll be full of love and he'll be there #and i won't have to lose another of my cats without being there for them

sooooo...is anyone else completely unable to access any of tumblr’s customisation shit? i can’t get to the place i change my avatar, can’t edit my blog theme, etc etc. is this just me or is tumblr throwing weird pointless tantrums again?
