Hello!! 😎 I am going to be openly transparent about the fact that it is incredibly difficult for me to play favourites when it comes to this man, because my brain wants to shove the pile of cards towards you and say "all of them", while looking like this

But, I will set aside my indecision and try. These aren't ranked at all, because I love them for different reasons! [Quick interruption: I have just realised your icon is Caleb's juicy af ass]

Entwined Kites - I think I may have expressed my love for this one before and especially with the fic I wrote inspired by it. I love the story, his design, the kindled- everything about this one. I just, sigh, yes.

Immediate Disorder - I mean. What can I even say? Look at the card. Look at him. I just wanna mmmmmmmm chomp straight on them tiddies BUT I remember the first time I watched the memory on YouTube, his shout. like. awoke something. Like ok yeah zayne, speak soft to me but also... sometimes... 👉 👈 maybe yell at me pls? Despite the horny, I also really like the theme of self-control and delving into that side of him. I could say more, but not here. Love it.

Cozy Afternoon - I just really enjoy this one because of the home-date. Like, yes, let's just stay home and cuddle 👀 in bed. But also? Getting to see Zayne be soft, gentle, relaxed. Not to mention when mc cups his cheek and he's clearly fucking touch-starved. We also get to just stare at his beautiful face. I liked the soft moment, it was nice.

Absolute Zeal - ugh. I. Words. The stumbling kisses, the unravelling of a tightly wound man who values maintaining a measured composure, the sounds. Fed well with this one. Also, I enjoy it for similar reasons to Immediate Disorder. Themes of self-control and what it means for him and how mc plays into that slowly coming undone. Lush.

Snowy Serenity - one line is the reason I love this card. "I need you. I have never denied that." while he's cupping mc's cheek, distance shrinking between them, and as he's saying that line in that soft yearning voice his eyes are flicking down to her lips, then back to her eyes, then to her lips again- micro expressions are just- UGH. how he swallows her breath as he kisses her like he'll lose her. also. I have a soft spot for dawnbreaker!zayne

If you're happy to do a little hurt/comfort drabble - something post MW3's reboot, but with Johnny surviving? With the line "I'm still here, hen", or something along those lines?

Hen is probably my favourite nickname/term of endearment that he would probably use I will not lie - I've yet to see anyone make use of it though!!

Ok ok ok I did get an idea for this and I hope I executed it in only this short drabble (is not 100 words but I don’t know what else to call it) - you wanted to be hurt? Then to be comforted? You got it. And listen- I gotta have some amnesia in there. If Soap if surviving a gunshot wound to the head, bruh probably sat in a coma somewhere until his ass got woken up. My man was in hell fighting the ghouls to claw his way back to consciousness. For who? Simon. Yeah, damn right.

I will also be very honest. Though I don’t write it, or ship it intensely, it’s a cute ship and I’ve got a rubber sword to bat anyone way that doesn’t like it. Come at me, Ghoap is a lovely ship and I love all art and such I see of it (even if I don’t actively do much for it myself yk?)

The day John MacTavish had woken up had been hard for Simon. A man he had come to love was stolen away by a bullet.

Even then, when John had come to, calling him Ghost, not some nickname, not his name… he knew then that memories had been stolen, too.

Simon never left his bedside, only unless Price or Gaz were there to take over watch. Simon couldn’t risk anyone coming to finish the job. Not while he tried to help the other recover what he could of the man that had been damaged.

I’d kill anyone who tried to lay a finger on Johnny.

Understatement. Kill wasn’t a harsh enough word, he supposed, not to match the animosity that grew in his chest at the thought of anyone coming to cause more harm.

He could still see the blood on his hands, soaked into his gloves, his sleeves, his-

“You still with me?”

Simon blinked a few times, eyes having glossed over as they hovered in an unblinking stare at his open palms. He clenched his fists, moving his half lidded gaze to the man before him.

“I am.” He replied, voice levelled calmly.

“Good,” John replied, coming to sit next to Simon. Things had been difficult, but slowly, surely, they were getting to a point where things were as they had been. With Simon slowly regaining his Johnny back, even if the memories were still not there fully.

“You were thinkin’ about somethin’.”

“I was. About you.”

John chuckled a little, “you worryin’ again?”

A beat, then a gentle nod.

“You’ve nothin’ to worry about, I’m no goin’ anywhere.”

Simon warily watched the other silently, almost like he was questioning the integrity - a moment of weakness, one could suppose. Weakness that he only ever felt like he could show around John.

John let his hand rest on the back of Simon’s neck, giving it a light squeeze while his other took hold of Simon’s hand and guided to his chest. He placed the hand against his heart, letting Simon feel its strong beat against his palm.

Then, their foreheads rested against each other, eyes closed as they basked in the brief silence they comfortably fell into. Then, after John placed a kiss on Simon’s cheek, he breathed, “I’m still here, hen, I’m no leavin’ you, ever.”

“Good,” was all Simon could breathe in response.

Alex Mason was not one for huge parties with all the trimmings, especially if it was for his birthday; it was always a bunch of people there only for the drink or the food with the ones who actually mattered mixed in. So, to have his family and friends filtered throughout his home, cosy and together, was enough for him. Just those who mattered. In the living room were Jodie and Frank, somehow managing to keep David entertained; yet again, the colouring book he had scribbled all over was the main focus. Alex hovered in the doorway, a bottle of beer in hand, silently watching the three and their antics. David was pointing at all the different parts he'd coloured in, then shoving a crayon in Frank's hand and betting he couldn't colour in the lines. Jodie was sat on the sofa, whereas the other two were on the floor. Alex bet Frank was nigh on seizing up being static in that cross-legged position for so long. As he continued to watch, Jodie caught his eye, and the smile on her features was serene - she nodded furtively to him, mirth in her eyes and he returned the gesture. Then, he moved away and into the kitchen, where Hudson, stoic as ever, stood talking with his wife, Sarah. They were polar opposites. Her animated talk and excitement contrast that of Hudson's quiet, immovable nature, but the man listened to every word Sarah was saying, discussing all manner of things as though they had years of talk they needed to catch up on. Other's of his friends had apparently been invited, but for whatever reason they couldn't attend. That did mean Sarah hadn't fiddled a way for them to have gotten involved for his birthday. Throughout the day, there had been brief calls from Weaver, Aleks, who had urged her husband to at least say something on the phone which culminated in a short gruff wishing him well. Then he'd received a call from his sister, which was longer than the rest, detailing her plan to come see him soon; that sounded nice. Once he had drunk up enough of the scene, Alex went outside. It was warm, bright, and there was birdsong carried through the trees around them. All manner of plants and wildlife and sprung to life. Alex headed towards the edge of the patio, leaning over the fence surrounding it. At his feet, his faithful companion Maximus came lolloping to stand at his side, tongue hung out of the side of his mouth. "Heya boy," Alex said, as his hand rested atop the malamute's head, "pretty nice today, isn't it?" If the dog could speak, he would agree. Then a thought crossed Alex's mind. I never thought there'd be that many people who'd have stuck around.

He was glad for it.

To have friends and family, to have people who cared enough about you.

To be loved.

And once he had thought himself too broken.

"Alex! It's time for your cake, come in here and blow out these candles!" His wife's voice called out. He couldn't help the smile that formed on his face when her head popped out of the door, wide grin on her features and a glow to her face, "you better be quick or else your son is gonna blow 'em out for you!" "Alright, alright," Alex chuckled, "I'm coming." As he entered the door, he saw David begin to take in a deep breath, before his large eyes landed on his Dad and a giggle erupted from his chest. As the little boy laughed, the lit candles were blown out. Alex feigned a gasp, before he began a chase of David, the boy laughing the entire time as he tried to escape his Dad's clutches. Everyone was laughing, everyone was happy. And most of all, Alex never felt more at home and loved.

I will say the ones that hit me the most in the gut are Zayne and Rafayel… Zayne’s Dawnbreaker moments hurt me deeply and don’t even get me started on Rafayel’s myth.
