A deconstructed burger with all the classic California flavors served in a bowl. It's a healthy and delicious twist on a traditional burger.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 avocado, sliced. 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved. 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced. 4 cups lettuce, chopped. 4 slices cheddar cheese. 4 tbsp mayonnaise. 2 tbsp ketchup. 1 tbsp mustard. 1 tsp olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add salt and pepper to the ground beef, and then shape it into 4 burger patties. In the skillet, cook the burger patties for four to five minutes on each side, or until they're done the way you like them. In the last minute of cooking, put a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each piece of meat. It's time to make the sauce. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard together. To put together the burger bowls, start by putting some chopped lettuce in each one. In each bowl, put lettuce and a cooked burger patty on top of it. Place slices of avocado, cherry tomatoes, and red onion on top of and around the burger patties. Add the sauce to each bowl and then top the food with it. Feel free to eat the California Burger Bowls right away.
