I paid $7.49 vs $6.49 for the organic version of these @vitalfarms eggs 🥚 tonight. But why? First off, I don’t believe there’s a difference in the regular vital farms vs organic. I believe it’s just the label, which cost more to use. I could be wrong though 🤷 Either way, I buy the regular version of them weekly. They’re the best option available in stores when you can’t get them right from the chickens yourself 🐓 Nothing compares with #pastureraised ! Back to my why…. Have you ever wondered what those numbers on the end of your egg carton mean? Maybe you’ve never realized them 🤷 Majority of people will look at the sell by date to judge freshness. If you do that, it’s a big mistake. The egg industry, by law, must print the day the eggs are packaged. It’s called the Julian date. They use a 001 to 365 system. 001 would mean eggs where packaged January 1st. If you went by sell by date, your eggs very well could be weeks old 🤮 The only available regular vital farms eggs where packaged on 009. Today is the 26th 😳 That’s 17 days ago. No thank you! The organic version was packaged 019. 7 days old. Better 😉 When you appreciate the concept that food is your medicine, your pharmacy, your ticket to amazing daily health, you don’t make sacrifices. The extra dollar invested tonight is guaranteed to save me thousands down the line. No extra doctor appointments, pills 💊 or wasted trips for this guy ⚔️ #ershredhealthcoach #nutritionknowledge #nutritionfacts #nutritiontips #eggs #eggseggseggs #foodismedicine #foodislife #foodisfuel #healthcoach #ershred #protein https://www.instagram.com/p/CZOuZgdOg7b/?utm_medium=tumblr
