You guys!! Small details can make such a big difference! I'm not sure why I haven't tried this before, but better late than never, right?!! Look how pretty the waistband edge (first pic) and the hem around the leg openings (second pic) look using a simple decorative stitch, (on your sewing machine settings) instead of a regular straight stitch. A special technique for Decorative End Stitches even using a leather sewing machine. You would start the stitches about 3 holes below the starting point. Make the 1st hole regular length, the next two wider spacing holes Then, start stitching regularly with the sewing machine having left a good length of thread to come back and finish the decorative stitches by hand with needles. Before you start stitching, you need to make the same starting holes at the other end to stop machine stitching and had stitch the decorative end stitches!
