In 1989, you could go to Japanese theaters and watch Patlabor 1, The Five Star Stories movie, and Venus Senki (with FSS and Venus Senki premiering on the same day!) in the span of few months, from March to July. That was a huge year for the robot freaks, and they never repeated this kind of back-to-back kino ever again.
