Spent the afternoon in the @featherstonecenterforthearts printmaking studio. It’s a great new space with three presses! I’ll be teaching there sometimes this fall and winter. Just figuring out when. Thinking about Thursday's Art Exhibit Closing Party at the OB Library. 🎶so happy my friends Paul and Nancy will be playing music. 🎶 It's been a great summer of putting my work out there in new ways and new places. Sometimes the self promotion feels selfish and self centered. A kind of shyness crops up. Sometimes that trips me up and I feel clumsy. But I can't let it stop me. I love it when other people share what they do. I'm exploring how I too can share what I do. Genuine. Heartfelt. Generous. Playful. Elegant. Art lifts my spirits, opens my mind, and soothes my heart. That's what I hope mine does. I can't help it, anyway. I just gotta make it. I hope it's good for something other than my own satisfaction.
