trying to go back to work after having a week off to live what i WISH was my life is so hard. man. i should be full-time helping my friends move and baking cookies for my sick coworkers and taking walks in the sunshine and spending every spare moment creating something with my hands. and instead i’m working FOOD SERVICE !!!!!!!!!ohhh my god how do you bear it
i am truly sorry for all my friends and mutuals who were excited for me to get into supernatural. i really am. i didn’t expect to have a bottomless well of hatred and vitriol towards dean winchester either

first couple episodes of season seven
i’m not usually a pluralize the blorbo guy (idk. just too much of a thing that happens to me irl and not as fun for me to rotate fictionally i guess? and also it puts us at a way higher risk of splitting the guy(s) we rotate LMAO) but honestly. yeah. i do see DID!sam. it checks out and i’m sort of poking at it now
Of course, my dear! Thank you so much for the request and I hope you’ll enjoy my thoughts on a character I know is near and dear to your heart 😊
Send me a character and the word ‘like’ and I’ll tell you five things I enjoy about the character.
I love how relatable Tsuna is in a lot of ways. It’s emphasized numerous times how ordinary and kind of ‘every day’ Tsuna is. He’s not this super special chosen one with cool powers right off the bat. He only gains the powers he has because of Reborn’s training and because of his own deep desire to protect his loved ones. Tsuna doesn’t want to be a chosen one and I find that deeply relatable. While it’s cool in fiction, I doubt most people would honestly want that ‘chosen one’ calling, with all the danger, trauma, and constant life-threatening decisions and situations that come with it. Tsuna kind of sucks at a lot of things. We’re shown numerous times him failing to do things correctly right off the bat. We’re shown numerous times him failing to do things at all, actually. Because Tsuna is flawed, but an inherently good person, I think that makes him relatable to a wider variety of people. I know there’s parts of myself I could see in Tsuna and I feel there’s probably aspects of a wide variety of other people that they see in Tsuna as well.
Touched on above, but I really admire how deeply Tsuna cares about the people around him. I think it’s why he attracts people to him so easily – he isn’t doing anything for the sake of power alone. He just loves his friends and family and wants to protect them, wants to be there with them, and wants them all to be able to have peaceful, happy lives.
Going along with the above point, though I complain that KHR really wasted its potential with certain characters, I do kind of love how adamant Tsuna is against the kids fighting. It’s most shown with Lambo, since he’s a Guardian, but Tsuna doesn’t look at the kids and go ‘oh, they are quite honestly powerful and could be useful.’ No, he looks at them and goes ‘that’s a fucking five year old, obviously they shouldn’t be fighting at all.’ Even with Reborn, who I do believe Tsuna’s Hyper Intuition, if not his conscious mind, knows is more than the apparent one year old, Tsuna goes ‘Reborn, help me,’ and never ‘well, you fight them instead, Reborn.’ The times when Lambo is made to fight seem to be the times when Tsuna is the most on edge about any of his Guardians and the most upset about his Guardians fights. And I really appreciate that part of him.
Tsuna’s moral code and values are just amazing. He’s such a kind-hearted, pure boy and I absolutely adore that about him. No amount of trauma, no amount of violence or being exposed to the dirty side of the Mafia, changes who Tsuna is at his core or what he believes is right or wrong and that’s really respectable and admirable to me.
Since I’ve finished every other post off with a slightly shallow thing I love about the character, I’m going to continue on with that trend here. Tsuna has really pretty eyes, especially when in hyper mode, when they’re drawn more orangish in colour. But there’s even other points when he’s in normal mode where Amano draws his eyes big and soft and slightly sad and it never fails to hit me at those times – wow, Tsuna has pretty eyes.
