Wow how random that I happened to end up drawing Garak and Bashir at the same time. What a coincidence!

Micro-essay #03:
[context: I have a weekly scripture study assignment for Religion class where I have to explain what scripture study technique I used over the week and stuff. I get a bonus point if I share it with people. so I'm going to share them here!]
The study technique I used this week was Power Phrases. 2 Nephi 2 is chock-full of some pretty epic lines; 2:27 is the most obvious but there are some other pretty good gems in there about the Savior specifically. Some of my favorites included: "there is an opposition in all things" [2:11], "He offereth Himself a sacrifice for sin" [2:7], "they that believe in Him shall be saved" [2:9], "I know that thou art redeemed" [2:3], and, of course, "men are that they might have joy". 2 Nephi is generally known for 2:27, but I find that that can overshadow some other really good tidbits about the Savior's nature. I know that I generally forgot about that chapter, but reading through all of it and finding good phrases finally helped me understand some new cool things about the nature of the Lord. I think studying like this really helped me for General Conference -- there were SO MANY GOOD power quotes in today's conference. Once you start looking for specific quotes to write down or take notes about, you find all of them all at once. I know my family was a little concerned with how intensely I was typing, trying to get all my favorite phrases down. Looking for specific insight in 2 Nephi 2 made this General Conference probably one of the best of my life; I was super focused on getting every awesome quote written down that I could.
When you get old enough that only you remember the dinosaurs and only one of your students is actually left, maybe you should think about retiring ~☆
