this is probably a vv shitty/angsty thing to ask but has… dad!simon ever thought abt walking away from his family because everything gets too much? I thought abt cheating but i don’t think my heart could take that

i’d say only in the early days when everything felt like too much and it was all new and yadda yadda you know, he couldn’t cope. told himself he couldn’t talk to his wife ab it either cos she j birthed this human than he at face value doesn’t like initially.

when they grow up and the more kids he has the more he regrets feeling that way at the start. though, forgetting to cut himself any slack of his childhood and the reasoning behind his feelings.

You know, as much as we want to avoid the pain and skip a sad episode or something, or generally stop watching, that is what makes us something so unique. Because all those stories and shows and books and what else, they change us. In different ways, in different moments, but we are all there for the pain the characters feel and for the happiness as well. We all overcome the bad and are happy with the good. From whatever part of the world, whatever age or what else, that brings us so close that some people can't grasp what "fandom" really means. We are united so peculiarly by the stories we fell in love with, because they are a part of us, and so are these strangers we share so many feelings with
