ya mind dropping some more info about your ocs Thanatos and Hypnos? Noticed Hypnos's hair is a bit longer in that new drawing too 👀
Yeah Hypnos's hair is longer because I just think it looks Better (and perhaps also so he isnt confused with another Hypnos). Nice shoulder length hair to compliment Thanatos's own longer hair that reach down to his butt.
And hmm Hmm what is there to say... Well Thanatos and Hypnos have a near unbreakable bond and they love each other a lot. Thanatos can be annoyingly overprotective despite the fact Hypnos is leagues stronger than him (Thanatos already doesnt have a great track record, being bested by Heracles and Sisyphus, but don't bring that up it hurts his pride), and reason why Thanatos is so protective is that when they were younger, when they were born, Hypnos was frail and volatile; Hypnos had little control over his powers, all of dreams and unconscious thoughts and sleep of every living thing was coalesced into a single, small body, and it wrecked havoc for Sleep Incarnate. He saw every vision, he heard every thought, he felt every phantom touch, all were produced into one giant cacophony and Hypnos as a physical being did not know how to parse or understand any of it. So while Thanatos was born quiet as the final gasp of a dying being, Hypnos was born screaming.
So, essentially, Hypnos was bed bound and tended to by Nyx, Erebus and Thanatos for his youth. He was fragile, set off at any one thing, the constant barrage of dreams one that would manifest as godly equivalent of seizures, and so Thanatos grew very, very protective, to safeguard his meek brother from harm. He would take it upon himself to be his brother's keeper and be the one to eventually guide Hypnos outside of the realm of Erebus and explore the Underworld and elsewhere, to help Hypnos get out of his shell. Even when Hypnos has long settled and has a handle over his powers, this still remains for Thanatos. Because whenever Hypnos has a migraine, Thanatos remembers all his brother's weakest moments.
