For about a week after deer shifter Michael’s heat (after she’s rested and been doted upon by amphibious forest creature Hastur, of course) she gets incredibly affectionate and clingy towards Aziraphale (in a completely platonic way!) Hastur and naga Crowley (as fellow forest creatures who understand how these sorts of things work) think it’s absolutely adorable. Aziraphale, as a human, doesn’t understand it at all, but he definitely loves it. AZIRAPHALE: You’re the sweetest lady I’ve ever met! Oh goodness, let me brush your hair! Poor girl, your Mr. Hastur left your lovely auburn curls an absolute mess! Not to worry though! I’ll have you all sorted out in no time. Crowley, be a good host and make tea, won’t you? And Mr. Hastur, please be more gentle in the future. Michael is an absolute *mess* of tangled hair and bite marks. // MICHAEL: [very much amused] I assure you, I’m quite fine.
Azira, being human-takes note of this and knows in the future that Michael is in perfectly good hand despite her hair being a mess and being covered in marks that will take a while to heal. So of course he does his best to just snuggle with Michael and just brush and braid her hair and just let her doze. ❤
