Bunch more photos of the deer fawn cutie making faces in the bushes. . I'm gonna go looking for elk this afternoon, but typically don't have much luck with elk. . Also, I'm disastrously behind on my irl work and need to finish a report draft next week so photos might slow down again for a bit. For those that don't know, outside of trying to be a photographer and writing nonsense captions, I work as a consultant doing boring consultant stuff like statistics and writing reports and grant applications. The current project is about people's the interconnections between climate change, health, and migration (of humans). It's potentially important stuff, but I'm pretty burnt out and jaded on this sort of work. . And on that note, I was being super active the past few days to try to make it to 2000 followers and I did! It was sort of an arbitrary goal, but I do see gaining a following here as a way to work toward doing photography full time. . So thanks to those that follow and especially to those of you who find my weird nonsense in the captions amusing or at least find a way to put up with it. I do really appreciate the support and it does help me gain a bigger audience when you like, comment, share, save photos, etc. But also Instagram knows if you spend time sliding through carousel posts or reading captions and considers that toward determining if others might like my photos, so anyone reading this far has already helped me out a lot. In fact, that was initially the motivation for the long stream of consciousness captions, but it's become something really fun for me. . My love for deer fawns started a couple of years ago when I first encountered the hymn "As the Deer." Everytime I hear the song I always imagine a deer fawn with its pleading eyes ( oh their eyes --- so big. innocent, and cuuute!! 😍😍😍) as it desperately asks for water. Now, deer fawns are definitely one of my favorite animals though I have never seen nor touched one myself. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 PS: I'm not an artist...I just copied that from youtube 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-YwoRt7rIAA It is my first good fawn drawing so please be nice #deerfawn #doeeyes #asthedeer #fawn https://www.instagram.com/p/CNcXfC3l20G/?igshid=1drwxj5hedu80
This lil deer has been living around my grandpa's house for a week or so. It's hard her to walk so she just stays a couple hundred yards from the house, eating the corn he throws out for her. She doesn't mind him being there and it's just too precious. Her walking slowly got worse but now it might be better! #getbetterlittlegirl #deerfawn #natureisneat #eternalwinteratm (at Lake Wissota, Wisconsin)
