A Boho Backyard Dinner Sprinkle
My sister is having a baby!! I'm over the moon thinking about welcoming Baby Nugget into such a loving home. Although Nugget will be born here Los Angeles, my sister, Ruthie, and her two children, Asia and Isaiah, will be moving in his first month of birth all the way to the other side of the U.S., to South Carolina (I'm sure she'll be receiving a Cali Daze Gift Box from time to time).
I've been thinking about the perfect celebratory dinner since I learned about this exciting news! I love "backyard dinner parties" … something anyone could recreate in their own back yard.
Life is busy. So busy. Sometimes it’s hard to stop, but when you make the effort to create a truly beautiful space it gives you a wonderful excuse to STOP – and enjoy it! And when you create somewhere special like this, and see all your loved ones stopping to enjoy the moment too, well, then it’s all worth it!
We had an amazing night under the stars, even on a tight budget! For the Baby Sprinkle, we used low tables, textural rugs, and oversized, eclectic throw pillows for a casual and fun spin on outdoor entertaining. Globe string lights set the mood while low arrangements of succulents and candles add beauty to the natural setting. Keep scrolling to check it out!
