    the bar has been closed for a while now, drew is just finishing a few final things. they glance across the bar, eyes meeting nancy’s as they polish a glass with a bar towel. the two had an ODD relationship to say the least. drew had never been able to be this open about their abilities with anyone. usually, they would help in paranormal situations and be DONE with it all as soon as possible. but her situation was unique, different. drew had noticed that the more they spent time together, the more fond they grew towards the other. they had FUN together. goofy personalities bouncing off of one another. 

    “SO, what are the plans for tonight then??” they ask nancy, head tilted to the side slightly. more GHOST ADVENTURES, or simply spending time together?? it was a toss up every time. it really depended on the VIBES as andrew liked to say. “what are the VIBES then??”

  “so anyway.  y’ gotta be careful when you’re hangin’ ‘round squirrels, got it??  they look pretty cute, but they can be cruel creatures.  i’ve had to break up my fair share of squirrel fights.  best thing t’ do when you’re passin’ by ‘em is to just look down, stay in your lane my friend.”

   head snaps up as megan talks to him, eyes blinking rapidly.  “that’s a little BOLD of you to say, don’t you think??”  the words snap out of him before he fully realizes it.  he’s feeling defensive, mainly because he knows the other is CORRECT.  he’s not stupid, he hears the whispers behind his back, he notices the looks that he gets.  of course it bothers him.

    “are you always this RUDE or are you just feeling like it today??”

    the two were walking together, talking about aimless things as they usually do.  as the two walk, freshly fallen snow CRUNCHES under their feet, and that’s when drew gets the idea!!  footsteps slow for a moment, moving so they are walking behind her.  a playful smirk tugs at the corners of their lips, and they bend down, scooping up some snow into their hands.  they pack it tight into a snowball, before raising it in their hand and tossing it at nancy’s back. 

     “oh shit!!  sorry ‘bout that, my hand slipped.”  they mumble out between LAUGHTER.

   at first, she’s CONFUSED by his words, head tilting to the side a little.  then, she lets out a laugh, head shaking side to side for a moment.  “a li-little ... DARK puh-pete ... ”  she teases, moving her elbow to nudge at his side. 

    “but i suh - suppose if i were t-t-to be HAUNTED, it wo-would be nice to have .... you around all th-the time.”

   she frowns at his words. a sentiment lavender was all too familiar with. it was an AWFUL feeling, and she felt bad that her friend was feeling the same way. “i uh-understand. w-well!! not exactly yuh-you kn-know. but ... i feel luh-like that s-sometimes.” she pauses before sending a smile, even if it is weak, in peters direction. “do you want to talk about it??”

   drew is lounging on their arm chair, legs hanging lazily off the side. their legs swing back and forth slightly, they are DISTRACTED by their phones. as they aimlessly scroll, they’re brought out of their daze when they hear nancy speak. brows furrow together for a moment, before they bust out laughing. “th’ FUCK did y’ just say??” they ask between laughs. 

    “did y’ get into my stash or somethin’ nancy?? it’s FINE if y’ did just like ask next time.”
