Deerwood’s past was very strange. He became lost in the woods as a child and couldn’t find his way home (he was around 5 or 6 years old, his name was Carter then), and a winged ancient mew found him. She felt pity and they became close friends. After a few days, he became quite hungry, and the ancient mew was tired herself after spending days trying to find his house. That night as he slept, she thought that if she gave him her winged powers, he would be able to fly and find his home (she had tried to fly with him, but he couldn’t find the way, even after days). If his wings couldn’t carry him there, he could use his new powers to locate his house. She was also tired and eager to go back to her realm, so she did it. It seemed fine at first, but something messed up, and Carter woke screaming. Nothing had changed- the transformation was cut off by something. She didn’t tell him what she did, but he knew she had done something, so he lost trust in her. She felt guilty, but he ran away, so she left and went back to her realm. The news was spread to other ancient mews so they could hear of the strange power cutoff, then to ugly mews, and then to mewtwos. During it all, Carter was scared and shaken. He tried to find somewhere safe, but he stayed lost and hungry. Days passed and he somehow never starved, yet something odd was happening to him. There were wings and antlers growing off of him.
Weeks later, Carter’s fingers had become sharp and pointed, the same with his feet, and even his tail had become raggedy. He knew little English, yet there were still a few words left in him. Years passed and he become wild and confused, and he could fly and cut through the air with fast speeds and sharp claws. People and twos call him “Deerwood” because his color and antlers were often mistaken for a deer hiding in the woods. It is not fully known what happened to him, but his parents, who had found out everything and mourned greatly, were uncertain about something. Deerwood had been diagnosed with a strange disease that made his immune system very vulnerable, and he had to eat small amounts and try to stay out of the sun his whole life. From what they heard about the winged ancient mew sharing its powers, they think his body reacted to it as a threat and tried to get rid of it for the next weeks, but his body failed and the powers took over, unusable now due to the amount that his body got rid of, but his wings had grown, and the antlers were a strange mutation. Deerwood only comes out at night to stay away from the sun, and he only eats few things, just like he always did. As sad as all of this is, the creepiest part would be the sightings of him carrying an ancient mew in his jaws.
